I am hoping to join in on the day but it all depends on MOT (due next week).
Watch this space...
Well good luck with the MOT, always a bit of a worry where Land Rovers are concerned :(

Am scooting out this afternoon to do a bit more recce, need to find a decent pub to finish at...:tea: :beer2:

Found a pub! :D :D :beer2: :beer2:

It's a proper village pub just re-opened, with play area, reasonable scoff and smaller meals for the mini-ballasts.

Also found a couple of "explore-when-not-on-my-own" lanes which I've noted for another day out.

Support is somewhat disappointing so far, though I know it's a way off...should I open it up to other forums???

Oooooo sounds great!!!
Up to you fella! What other forums did you have in mind if you wish to share info?
I've got a lot of free time at the min so next time ya go out or need help with those "not on your own lanes" let me know!!
:tea:

I'm an idiot (I'm sure you'll all agree) as I miss read the dates and thought it was this weekend.

On the upside I am at present free on the 24th and have a co-driver.
Also my brother has shown interest in bringing his P38 along for a play, he's not a member on here but has been browsing for a few years.
Would this be OK ?

That would be no problem at all. By all means bring along your brother and his P38. Just get yourselves down on the spreadsheet. The rules and link to the spready are here

** Cake Update **
Finished identifying the clue sites, so all set to go. Now, Mrs Sniffs has offered to provide a free small, low-cal (-ish), chocolate hedgehog cake for each vehicle entered...:5bAngel_anim:

Perfekt for afternoon tea :D :tea:

So, get your names down now! Limit of 10 entries...

Thanks for the luck, think it worked... to a degree. Although it failed, it only needs a couple of bits of welding (sills) and rear pipe replacing. I'm hoping to sort exhaust out today myself, as long as it doesn't rain. So then I will just need to find someone local who can weld and at a reasonable price.

Re the 24th, I've put my name down so now I have to get MOT sorted

5 mins? It took teachers, tutors and parents 11 years to teach me basic maths & I'm still shocking!!!!

I've put my name down. Looking forward to my first outing :D

Hoping to hear back from my brother soon if he's going to come in his P38 (may be to scared of scratching it  ).

What's the start point ?

hi all, hope to join in with the fun got to confirm with my old navigator

[no I am not afraid off scratching it everybody else does that for me] cheeky little brother I think he forgot whose car did all the towing out in the floods:rolleyes:

The date approaches!!! All the clues are done and I will be doing a final recce on Friday 23rd just to make sure everything hangs together.

Mrs Sniffs will be getting the baking done this weekend, so names must be on the entry sheet here no later than 9.00am-ish Sunday (18th) morning to make sure we have enough :) If you don't want a cake (are you mad?) please PM me ASAP, otherwise I'll have to eat the excess :biggrin1:

I will be PM-ing the start location on Friday 23rd, so any last minute entries (you would be welcome) must be on the entry form by then.

Start time will be between 1 and 2pm on Saturday 24th.

Maps: The clues are all provided as OS map references so you will need a couple of maps. Landranger 185 and 186 or Explorer 144/145. If you don't have these maps let me know by PM before the 23rd cos I'll need to sort out road atlas level descriptions which will not be anything like as precise... I suggest you get the maps, cos they show all the local lanes anyway. :p :p
