Thanks Ant.. It's the OEM colour Masai Red...

I wanted the bulkhead and inner wings to look good, i really want this to 'pop' when the bonnet is lifted. what with the stainless exhaust, the refinished rocker covers and inlet manifold and the polished carbs.

Dribble dribble.....

Never seen Masai Red new before.....I LOVE it.....

The paint and reassembly really starts to get exciting. Looks incredible.

Thanks guys.

It's a long way off re-assembly. i have to to the loadspace side floors (weld in) wheelarch extensions (weld in), get the engine, gear box, transfer case sorted ( with Ant's help!) then the body can go back on the chassis and re-assambly !

I was a bit dubious about Masai Red and contemplated changing the colour, but decided to stick with the OEM paint. I think it's really going to look good.

A Range Rover Anorack stopped by the other day, he seemed to know a heck of a look, took one look at the chassis number and started reciting details about it (he used to sell RR's back when that was new) and mentioned the wheels, which Schuler put on cars, the S/Steel exhaust, the distributor and the uprated carbs, said he wouldnt be surprised if it had some attention for Schuler in its day ..

Switched out to do some wotk on the CSK today, got the rear body crossmember out. and cut some of the corrosion back. repainted the rear section of the chassis. All good.

Welded some legs on the spare chassis section i have so the Suffix A body can be ounted on that to line up the front wings.

In the meantime, got offered a job in the ME today...

How exciting....

Might have to come and collect the engine(s) take 'em away, strip and rebuild and when you get back I may have just about finished undoing the first rusted on bolt :D

That is looking fantastic. Are you keeping the Wolf Race wheels? I love those wheels and have 2 sets, am not sure what to do with them though as wife hates them and they may not look right on my 94 soft dash.

Ohhh i could chuck the 4.6 and the 4.2 in the mix for you too. !!

I'm kind of thinking i want to get my groove on with the two, my plan has now changed a bit..

1. get the 3.5 gearbox off (hence why i asked about the engine hoist) get the clutch replaced and back on... get the engine of the A straight. get the bodyshell back on painted and undersealed
2. get the bodyshell of the CSK rust free and rot cut out and replaced, painted an undersealed.
3. both chassis painted
4. body panels back on both, maybe painted before i depart.

That when, when i am back in the UK, there's going to be mainly interior and finishing work to do. and reduces the two piles of removed items.

The LSE is going to have to take a back seat for a spell, at least in the dry now and the underneath isn't like swiss cheese. That mainly going to be systems and paint, along with.. of course the sills !!

Yes I am.. I'm also going to get a set of Rostyles for it. The woolfraces have been on it since god knows how long. They will be fully refurbished though.
