Gotta sort out making a bull bar for mine. Reckon I've smashed 10 indicators since I've had it!

only problem with a bull bar is it is even MORE weight over the front end. it was just me being a wally and driving into a tree basically!

i have seen a few with homemade lamp guards, basically fairly beefy flat bar, bolted through front bumper and fastened to slam panel/wing. would fend off most things i imagine.

anyway, i just plan to not do it again, but i guess its always going to happen!

cheers :)

I'll be using some 3mm tube bent round the front of the truck and welded to the bumper. Then thinner bars infront of the light to stop be breaking them.
I get a bit carried away at off road sites you see.

Smashed my bloody indicator again, just like i said i would :(

You still not put that diesel in yet?

Gonna take a little while that mate, need to male space at work so need to sell a 110 and a Tipper van first! (says the boss!)

The way it's looking I might do it when the tax runs out November, or i might wait til after the winter, or just do it as soon as we have space and can find a car.

Cheers! :)

Fed up with smashing indicators at 20 quid a pop (no pun intended) I have fitted these:

31230db9.jpg

They are the 200tdi version DA4310 (or DA4130, not sure!) which are considerably more hench than some of the 300tdi offerings, despite being similar.

These have 6 bars of 20x5mm whereas the later style which seem to be more fashion orientated are often something like 15x2mm bar.

These are very heavy so that was a good start.

Anyway, welded a few brackets onto the bumper to secure them more than standard, and they should now push large branches no problem.

Cheers :)

I hate the look of 200TDi's but yours looks the bollocks!

Love that rear bumper, not read the whole thread but how much did you pay for it and where from? Does it fit onto the original fixings?
