Not at all dude, but I would just look about online?!

The price is the price at the end of the day!

V8 clutch kits were just short of £100 last time I checked 4 years ago :p

Thought you might know some cheap stores ;)

Had a look and made a thread, just trying to decide what is the better make is

****part, Panther or Borg & Beck, any insight :) ?

Bork & Beck are the original, but have now been bought by AP Driveline, I bought mine through britpart though :)

RobRainford's Warn M8000 built and prepared with contactor upgrade, wireless control and synthetic line.

Ready for collection sir :)

Oooooo :) that should suit me nicely. Chose the slightly cheaper line as it came with a removable hook. Can put shackles in then if I feel like it!

Shall get it Sunday.

Whats the cost of one through Britpart now James ?

Either order through my local landy place or order a Borg straight from the seller in my thread

Yeah I can get the B&B one for £120 posted with plate, and bearing just need to buy fork

But if its cheaper through britpart I may go that way

Yeah I thought that was your plan. The line is exactly the same you just pay for the hook and a heavy duty finisher loop thingy.

Good thing with a comp hook is it fits around a standard 50mm towball, but if it becomes an issue you can just get a hook and shackle it on, best of both worlds!

Was impressed with the speed of this winch actually.

See you soon pal!

What's it like under load speed wise?

The wiring will be my next challenge. Oh and buying a winch mount!

No idea about load speed cos I ain't got a load! :D

I'll have a chat with you about wiring/fitting/tightening your rope etc when you come to collect it :)

"Hello Sam

We have compared the swivel housing to ours, ref DA3164 kit, the housing does not match ours, the kit you have purchased is not the correct one for your vehicle, it should be DA3163, as your vehicle has semi floating halfshafts and not full floating ones, as per later vehicles. Our DA3164 kits do not have the extra recess to clear the bush on an earlier axle, however, the swivel you have sent does, there are other differences as well, and do not think that this is a Britpart product. We are happy to send this to our supplier for their analysis, but we believe he will state that this is not his product as well.

We will try and find out who we think the supplier of this swivel housing, this may be of some assistance to you.

Regards
Neil"

Anyone else smell a rat?

I mean, I remember buying these from britpart in britpart boxes, and they have the collar machined in them to fit the brass bushes on my 10 spline shafts, so I'm saying they are the correct items!

I said to Neil that I don't believe what he is telling me for the above reasons, and asked what the next course of action will be.

Hmmm

how can you have the wrong ball there are 2 types budh frc2644 /fc5105 bush /abs type or frc7065 double bearing type that i know of
