Hey on the motorway the larger tyres certainly help keep the revs down. Just uphill that you notice the problems!

My car drives just great as it is, in fact if you get stuck it it's superb, but it certainly takes a lot of effort to drive it compared to a normal car where you sit back and relax. I'm constantly making sure it doesn't tramlines off the road, im paranoid about noises and vibrations all the time, I have to rev match and double clutch to get a decent shift and the steering is heavy and needs constant monitoring.

At the same time I love driving the car (especially when we go away in it for a few days) cos it's really exciting every time I make a journey!

no mate, no rub without spacers and they just tuck under the arches with my tyres on.

im very happu with them, not great on the motorway though, sometimes they get a bad shake on :(

my insa turbo's shake like mad on the std allys think its a trait or big tyres

Thanks for the tips matey.

I've read a bit into it, some cams require solid followers, some don't. I heard it is better with hydraulic followers because they allow a certain amount of give on higher lift cams that improve low end running. Not sure?

I know I'm open to ideas for the next few months anyway!

Yeah I was planning an adjustable cam gear thingy. I dont know what the problem is with the jerky thing in the mid throttle range, it's like there's a bit of slack/give somewhere and that's why when it's not under full load or full overrun its not quite sure where it's at!

Other than that I can't knock it cos it does run right sweet, to the extent that I'm reluctant to take the heads off.

And yes, I definitely would not be fitting a v8 to a car I needed to run everyday. I don't like to tell you brother but with 33s and 10" wheels it may start to brass you off a little also!

Man i have the same jerkyness, i have no idea what its caused by, allmost like a missfire, its not electrical, its been off the road since i sealed up the air ways joins so ive yet to test it, if you find out hit me up!

Will do!

Mine has done it for ages, probably since I got it, but it's much more noticeable now I've got the headers and performance exhaust.

Cheers :)
