Still dont think you can beat insa :p

The daft truth is that you cannot beat Insa turbo!

They are cheap and they are the best tyre

Ok ok ok simex tyres are perhaps slightly better and they do offer a 11.5" option but for the money the 285/75/16 Insa is the ####ing daddy!

By the way, I would NEVER EVER EVER TO SAVE MY LIFE EVER have/fit Insa Turbos

Just too samey and frankly wouldn't suit/be suitable for my image :p

just make a new photobucket account using a different email ;)

I could do that yes, thankyou for the heads up I hadn't thought of that.

However I will wait to see what the prospective cost of upgrading will be as I suspect that the effort of running two separate accounts will far outweigh the financial outlay of upgrading my current account.

Think its something like $30 a year for 20gb

No, I completely understand your thinking, it also seems the further up north you go the rockier and less muddy it gets so less need for an aggressive tyre.

You'd be hard pushed to find a rock big enough float a wheel down hear, but up where Doc is, that's all there is near enough! That and rain.

The modifying of the spare wheel carrier for the 33" tyre, has anybody done this and got pics for some inspiration? Cheers.

Oh and on a small "back on topic note"

Gonna spend a full day in the workshop tomorrow making sexy the rear half of the car including rear axle! :D

Disconicky I moved the whole spare wheel carrier up on mine by one bolt hole. Cut it to fit on the door still without damaging and used 4 instead of 6 bolt. Had no issues in over a year.

Noisy. A lot of hard work gone on mate. Top job.

That's a clever idea with the holder dude.

Do some people turn it upside down also??

So I'm around halfway in, everything is off, ready for cleaning up and painting and then refitting.

Didn't expect to be bashing holes in my chassis though :(

Touch of welding to do around the NSR bump stop area!

Don't think I'll get it all done today but I still have this week!

Plan is to do welding and paint chassis and arches etc, then clean up essentials like axle casing (got a few small mods to do to that also) and clean up springs and seats etc so it can get back on its wheels today.

Have ordered some new upper damper mounts as they are last their best now, and need a bunch of new bolts to make it all nice and shiny.

Not too bad, 1 week to go and counting :D
