i have a 2002 4.4v8 range rover l322 when i pull away sometimes its slow to respond, i have an afermarket air filter on ,not sure if this is the cause of the maf sensor, any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you

the M62 powered L322 should leap off the line.....does it bog down or does it appear as if you are starting in third with lots of gearbox slip??

If the A/M filter is an oiled type, then it could have contaminated the MAF

hello,
thank you for the reply i have just hd the gear box fixed so its not that, it will be the air filter , the car had had an front end up grade with lights etc , so bought the original air filter box to put back on , and as the lights are a bigger fit the original air filter will not quite fit. can you reccomend a good after market filter , will i also need to change the mac as well

they fit the aftermarket filter because of the reason you identified, the new lights are deeper so the original air box would get in the way.

have you had the car on diagnostics ?

did it start playing up straight after the car had the facelift work completed ?

this was done when i bought the car , and has done it a few times since i have had it, its been on the pc and no errors identified , and no lights on, i do remember that the engine management light came on and said maf sensor , i have not change the sensor yet , and its and oil type air filter so that may be part of the problem can you recommend a good after market filter.

thank you
