Hi All, Last Saturday night I was driving a friend to the railway station when a plod volvo passes in front of me as I came to a roundabout. I saw them slow down and look, then carry on. Ok, fine, I crossover said roundabout and turn off only to look in the mirror and see flashing blue lights right behind me. so I pulled over and got out to be told they stopped me for my tinted windows!
I was given a lecture on safety and told I was only being warned this time because he he didn't want get out of his car cos it was raining!
Ok, the tints were illegal (though not a heavy tint) and he was (almost) only doing his job, but to give a lecture on safety after havng thrashed his car to what must have three-figure speeds in pouring rain to make sure he caught me, well Hypocrosy? But the main thing is the local scumbags were free to carry on as per normal.
So now I don't have front window tints, but apparantly an unmarked police volovo round here does. If you have tinted windows,beware.
