hi all! i am new to the forum and to the world of landrovers in general! i inherited some land down here in essex and was walking round and discovered and old series 2a hidden away in the woods! the land used to be used for local banger racing wich i also took part in about 10 years ago, i figured the landrover must of been used to pull cars out that had crashed and where unable to drive out! i sent off for the v5c and have finally got it back so the vehicle is now registered in my name! has only got 15k on the clock but not sure if this is genuine. i dont know wat to do with the old girl! i prefer the defender 110 csw's and was looking to buy one of those to rebuild. any way heres some pics!

+1

Looks better and has more character than a defender :)

Love stories like this. It's crying out for a rebuild - it would be a Landy for life if done nicely. Looks like a chock between the bump stop and axle to stop the springs sagging when laid up perhaps? Come on do your sums and dust off those AF spanners. :)

That's not a chock, ya spanner, it's the shock absorber on the other side:rolleyes:

Jeez, you lucky fella .. good on you, but definitely rebuild .. it's not like you expected it so there's all the time in the world to do it!! ;)
