That’s all right on an old 90 tbh. I didn’t think the speedo was a testable item, or at least I think it used to not be, maybe that’s just for accuracy, but it makes sense that it not lighting up is a fail to me.

If it was that in isolation, you may have got the pass, but the wee niggles add up to a tester.
 
Ive always said if the tester sees a clean car with some new/recent parts fitted he will be more lenient than some dirty rust encrusted piece of shti.

Normal tell tale sign of rear prop slider worn is when you come off the throttle onto the overrun and the car vibrates or is noisy until you apply power again.
 
Yes it does do a kind of judder/squeek sometimes when i let go of the accelerator. Also vibrates a bit under heavy acceleration. Tge garage tokd me prop shaft is probably why.
