Someone else who's ditching a defender for a series :p Mine's staying with the 2 1/4 petrol though. Where are you thinking of sourcing your paint from?

Yesterday we started work on removing the roof and bulkhead so here are a few pic's with the roof and doors removed

Son if painting the recon'd bulkhead later today ready for fitting and swapping everything over once the new bulkhead is on :)

Son Andy has been working hard painting the new bulkhead, doors inc the new rear door we bought a few weeks ago and the new roof, will post pic's at the weekend as there is to much to move out of the garage to get to them :)

Managed to strip the bulkhead today just need to cut off the bulkhead to chassis support brackets on Monday then fit the new bulkhead and start swapping stuff over, not had chance to post pic's yet as everything is hidden behind the newly painted roof so once the new bulkhead is fitted and the old bulkhead dragged outside I can the move stuff around and take some pic's

Fitted the bulkhead today inc fitting the pedal boxes, brake and clutch master cylinder's just need to drill a few holes into the blank N/S footwell for the heater box, bulkhead support bracket and to make a bracket for the clutch flexi pipe but I will do them as I fit them, will post pic's tomorrow

Been enjoying myself swapping the bulkhead over and swapping everything over onto it so have decided on getting a new galv bulkhead now so saving up like made now to buy one

Here are some pic's and yes it is the new colour which we wanted last time we re-painted the 90

Providing the guy turns up we have just sold the old Def bulkhead £100, I was just going to give it the scrap man so I am well chuffed :D

4 days off and I only got chance to do something today as I have been resting a sore eye for the last couple of days think I got something in it either from work or from working in the garage, anyway seems ok now so managed to secure the bulkhead in place as we left the bulkhead loose so we could fit stuff to it on the engine bay side so other than a job I have to do on the heater box everything on the engine bay side is done so I have spent the day fastening the bulkhead in so this weekend coming we can start fitting the wiring and dash in place :)

Got a bit more done yesterday finished off the engine bay side and started fitting the wiring loom and fuse back panel back in and partially connected up, back in work today so will do some more tomorrow as I don't work Mondays :)

Unable to do anything today as its been raining off and on all day and need to push the 90 out of the garage to work on it as there isn't much room in there with all the 2a stuff in there aswell so will have to wait till this weekend now :(

Did a bit more on Saturday tried fitting the wiper motor and mech in place but realised I had to remove the heater again as the bracket that holds the wiper motor in slides into the upper part of the bulkhead behind the heater, then once it was fitted I replaced the wiper spindles then connected the wiring up in the engine bay inc the wings, working today so will try and get the dash back in and wired up at the weekend and will try and post some more pic's aswell :)

Can't wait to get stuck into the 2a again now so as soon as the 90 is finished and out of the garage, refit some of the shelving I took down in the garage to make room for fitting the log burning stove earlier this year I can get everything off the floor as there is a mixture of 2a stuff and Defender stuff taking up room on the floor so once that's out of the way the 2a will be back in as I still have the head to fit and rotate the timing belt twice to reset the belt then start doing everything else that needs to be done ready for it doing loads of work with the trailer :D

Just a few pic's of where I am up to with the 90 bulkhead swap over, fitted the lower part of the dash in today plus fitted the metal panel in that the air vent lever's are screwed to, pic's are taken just before I fitted this panel

Finished the odd's and ends this morning then Andy said me and Jen are going watching the City match so I have more or less come to a stop today as the plan was to start fitting the rest of the body on screen, roof and doors so I will just have to wait till I can get him to help me

Anyway on a good note I am sat here on here with a few cans, not had a drink in ages :D

Blastid weather nice and sunny when me and son started to fitting the screen to the bulkhead earlier today got the 90 out of the garage pulled the roof out and all the other stuff out to get to the screen fitted the new bulkhead to screen frame seal went to fit the screen and it Pee'd it down so everything back in the garage inc the 90 and shut up shop for the day.
Ah well luckily I am off from the middle of next week so hopefully if the weather is ok we should get it all done
