Well the new chassis has arrived, it was supposed to have been going in storage at son's g/friend's dads business premises but as its only the front axle that needs rebuilding to fit the chassis ( should be done over the weekend ) we decided on delivering it straight here instead, looks great and its been poly bushed aswell :D
here are some pic's
HI, I´m in same situation now as you where a couple of years ago and I need to decide if I should repair/ sandblaster paint old frame or buy a new one. Do you know where to find a new frame at an attractive price today?

Other than the usual places if you scour ebay from time to time you can find where peep's have bought chassis then for some reason or another have decided against starting the rebuild and advertise the chassis for sale or like we did with our 90 chassis found a landy place that bought a couple of chassis and for restoration jobs and one got canciled and again was put up for sale.

Fitted the slickshift yesterday and ordered a set of 235 85 16 Cooper Discoverer stt pro's

Its alive, yes today we eventually had the engine running after finding out that the new ignition switch was faulty, ended up using the old switch for now but our celebrations was short lived as we later found out that the new rear crank oil seal was leaking so will need to re-do that now but will carry on with sorting the lights out and a few other little niggles first then once they are done I will yank the engine out and get the seal changed :(

Oop's I forgot to update from the weekend, well the engine's out and on the bench, the back end of the engine is stripped and cleaned up ready for the new oil seal and gasket to be fitted ( when the oil seal arrives ) I also noticed that the timing cover was leaking slightly behind the water pump so will sort that as well while its out so hopefully this weekend I will have it back in :D

Engine back in and running with no oil / water leaks, just got to refit the floor plates now then sort out a couple of small jobs out, wire up the rear lights and secure the wiring loom to the chassis and sort out a leaking brake pipe and its done :D

Sorry mine has always been an hard top and everything you want i had to buy and wouldn't know whats needed for a ragtop as there are two types a truck cab with ragtop and a full tilt which is bacikely a full ragtop that replaces a hard top roof and sides if you no what i mean

Had the 2a out yesterday up and down the drive ( still on sorn ) so can't drive it on the road yet, need to adjust the clutch crunches when trying to get a gear, adjust brakes and replace a new stop light switch but everything else seems ok.
