hi all,

new to this forum. Looking at buying a l322 4.4 rangie. Am 20 years old and own and work on a farm, do alot of shooting and have been to aus and canada travelling and love the v8 sounds!! everyone has one out there.

Am looking into buying a l322, looking to spend up to £8000 for a vogue with less that 100000 miles. I was enquiring to see if there was anyone really knowledgeable mechanically with these cars to come with me to view one. ideally within 100 miles of a small town called Wotton-under-edge. Of course i would provide £££ for a few hours to look drive the car with me and basically tell me if its a piece of ... or a decent motor.

anyway thanks all
will probably be asking lots of questions when i have one haha! pretty mechanically minded being a farm and all but usually good with the big stuff i can belt with a hammer

cheers
scott

:welcome2:

Glad you are handy with a hammer....owning an L322 will mean all you want to do to it sometimes is belt it with a fecking heavy object....

Loads of advice on here...read the How To section, great cars, but you'll need deep pockets unless you can DIY....also getting your own Diagnostics is a must else you'll be spending a fortune at a dealer for plugging it in everytime it bongs at you!

in the town of Wotton-under-edge, so if you are interested and live within say 100 miles then drop me a pm, are they really that bad reliability wise?

20yr old trying to insure a 50k range rover when new with a 4.4v8
I hate to think what the cost would be that's even if the insurers are willing to take the risk!!!!!!!

I'm just up the hill from you, not that I know anything about L322s but happy to help if you run out of hammers :D

yeah fully comp, with elephant/admiral, always find them to be cheapest, live in a small cotswold village location parked on a private driveway
