Heh, nice to be able to see, and get to, the toolboxes .. ;)

When you gonna build something not just clean the garage?

Watch out fellas, here comes Handy Andy with the MDF in readiness to knock it out as a 60 week make over:emps1:

When it's safe to fire up the grinder and not have to worry about setting fire to the place. at the moment there's a sofa been foisted on us, that's sitting a foot away from the crossmember.

Still got **** loads of rubbish to move. I emptied a filing cabinet on Monday. Every drawer was full, saved the decent stuff into a cigar box. everything else went to the tip.

had another go with the wire brush and grinder. patched 2 small holes on the underside of the Passenger side rear rail.

and then cut away the rear passenger side spring hanger. :(

At least when it has all been patched up/repaired,you know it should last a good few years. You still going to sell it after you finish the repairs?.

pikey - why dont you just convert this one to a csw? At least then you know what condition everything is in. You could buy another and find loads wrong with it?

Have you been talking to Minty

I have been offered another engine lower mileage than mine & out of a reasonably well looked after Disco. If I keep the 110 Then the gearbox & rear axle will need a bit of work. I'll see how I feel when it's finished. But could do with the extra seats as I've inherited an 18 year old daughter

the 110 has a seat already that bolts in with its own seat belt. ..bit fiddly but does the job....he wants more seats with a csw which is ok till he can't get plasterboards and a load of work stuff in it so he will then wanna take the seats out

That's what the roof racks for :p :p

Another day at the office. Made 2 strenghtening plates out of galvy angle iron. cut & bent them to suit curvature of chassis. The welded them in place. Also drilled thru chassis and Button welded them to give a stronger fixing. then cut a plate to fill the hole & did same as brackets Button welded and then seam welded. Needs a final plate making up & folding to cover the hole in the top of the chassis. Also need to turn chassis over to make it easier to weld.. the final plate. So that'll be next Saturdays job then :(
