And on that bombshell, i bid you all goodnight.
Good luck with relisting, i look forward to seeing it.(chromeless)
Sorry Druim, im sure you are a fine salesman, but in this instance, i think the less B/S will win out.

I didn't mean to write a long store, only mention a few facts there make a man dream, tease the mind so potential buyer get some ideas of his own.

Writing doomed I found slightly harsh, but then again your car may be leaking gas and you're excused:D

Hate sales B/S myself and find it best just to bring the mind on the right wavelength so buyer feel he has discovered something unique.

Example there don't educate nor say it all but definitely something to think/dream about:

Remember the Powerful Range Rover is probably the best car in the world,
you cannot get stuck and for sure you will gain many "Friends" when they need a hand comes winter.

Ask Jeremy Clarkson: What is the best car in the world? Range Rover. How many times shall I say it?

OP fell free to listen/use any of the written
:):):)

PS: Now don't call me a liar regarding the RR, trying to get price up:behindsofa:

I really like to look at this ad, lovely photos with wee bit info in between, Yours is quite good as well just touch up so its really interesting.

Druim is absolutely right with his ebay advice. Get it on today (Sunday) for 7 days so it ends next Sunday. Ebay auctions tend to make the highest prices if they end 3pm on a Sunday.
I'd say start it at 99p again; you're going to generate more interest with a low start and no reserve. It won't make more money if you start it 5k.
Did you not consider doing the second chance offer to the bidder previous to Mr Plonker? Someone must have bid around the £6500 mark before the final bid of £6800 went in. If you're ok with 6.5k why not do second chance offer? Your next listing might not get that high, so surely worth a try.
Plus report the other guy as non payer/refusal to pay so you get your fees back.

I doubt removing the chrome will make much difference, You can say in the ad that the chrome can be removed if not liked. If you re-list on Ebay I believe you can block bids from people with no or low feedback scores.
As above with the second chance offer, I've used that with sucess.

Lots of options to block bidders, personally I block bidders with no credit or debit card linked to account but only for bidders with less than 5 feedbacks, just remember to look at potential buyers being blocked and exempt them from rules if they seams genuine after contact.

Also blocking bidders there have unpaid items reported against them helps.

Not saying OP should do the same but that there's several options to minimise non payers.

OP, please file an unpaid case against the non payer, after a while you can claim back the £50 odd quid you have been charged.
Remember to click re list on item, not just starting a new or similar auction, but make all you changes before it goes live.
Personally i schedule my listing starting time way in future to have time to back and correct it before it goes live, when happy just start it when suitable and you don't pay scheduled fee.

Of course go with second chance offer if happy with that, remember buyer has days to answer where you just have to wait, do it twice and it can be close to a week where you can't do anything but wait.

The second chance offer was 6.7k, i set it up and the guy turned around and said "i'd expect to pay at least £500 less than that now..

^ going to re-list now, but won't remove chrome.

Just taken a bunch of gorgeous pictures, no wonder it didn't sell before.. yuck.
the last pictures were taken before new tyres, paintwork detail, inside restoration.

Don't really know why, but i did a brief check on all your posts, you had this for sale months ago, you talked about removing the horrible chavvy chrome way back,,, personally, i'm done feeding you attention, some of it was fun but now it's not.

You are leaving for NZ in a few days YOU said, what planet are you from exactly, faffing about on here. ???

As for not getting the 'Turkey' reference i made, YOU WILL BE EATING YOUR XMAS DINNER IN UK if you are worrying about, or not prepared to sell at at a discount considering you need it gone ASAP.

Get real and get it done.

Come off it?

i was prepared to let it go, hence i listed it at 99p ... the first bidder "couldn't afford it anymore" the second bidder 'didn't want to pay what he'd bid"

i can't leave until it's gone, but i'm not going to get mugged off.

.

Man that sucks..

they can drive it when they hand over the cash & it's theirs.. or fully comp insured (with proof & a phone call)
But only if you go with them, even then be cautious if there is more than one person, it's not unknown for the owner to be bundled out of the car and no I'm not scare mongering.

Thanks for this,

there will be two of us & one of them (allowed in the car)

What do you think of the new pictures?

I had the car detailed, interior restored & the new tyres put on after the pictures that i listed the first time.

Pictures look good. Personally not so keen on the chrome door/window pillars, but easily removed so makes no difference.
Bit worried now about my test drive with 2 sas trained guards in the back.
Damn been outbid again!!!
