Hello , i've been following this thread too. re synic seems the order of the day in my opinion.... but one thing you could check if re synic is needed ( but i could be wrong.... so correct me if i am guys)
When starting my range rover and it is running correctly....when you insert key and follow starting secquence look at the key , as your key turns from position 2 to start ,.... i have noticed the little red light flashes on the key fob' which if i'm correct this means the transponder is operating correctly , sending the correct information to enable you to start you range rover ,,,,,
Now if its in need of a re synic surly the light dose not flash, meaning transponder is not syniced ??????? This is just something i noticed the other day ....has anyone else noticed this or am i way off the scale ????????not seen it mentioned before????? also i have a 96 4.0 v8 petrol ( no gas) and twice i've had mine resyniced and both times i've been unable to crank engine let alone start it,,, (gems engine fitted) ..
so whats the reason for other models being able to crank on the key when a resynic is needed???? or is it just diesels that can crank,
this may be of some use if not o well ...... Rob
