if it grinds in park you have a break in the drive between g/box and wheels since p38 have a vcu its unlikely to be a fault in both axles though ive seen that before rear diff had failed previously and owner hadnt noticed till front failed, and more likely in the t/box, is t/box in neutralHi drove p38 this morning went fine stopped came back started it up put it in rev no drive only noise is a grinding in park but can free wheel does no hold any help please
so its not your auto box,its t box in neutral, youve either put it in neutral or selection motor or t/box ecu are faultyOn dash says transfer box in neutral yes
no thats for the auto box, your t/box is in neutral, its ecu is under passenger seat have you tried selecting high or lowIs that what they are calling the xyz box goes where the cable goes on box
in which case it isnt going in high or low or somethings bust in t/boxYes nothing only that grinding. In park in both hi and low
or find out if it is actually selecting high or low, take the motor off and twist th shaft poking out the box one way or the other see if it selectsThanks for help so replace the t box best option
yes or could be the ecu or other issue you wont know till you investigate and rule out the possibilitiesSo if the motor is gone won’t select any sorry to be a pain
obviously if you can select it manually t/box is ok but motor or ecu isnt but if you cant its an issue in the boxThanks for help
