Have you cleared the stored fault?

They are magnetic if you put a multimeter on them then wave metal across the tip you will get a change in reading. However to get the sensor to work on the system it needs a 5 volt feed from the ECU.

iv cleared the fault every time it appears with autologic comp I checked the volts to it before I changed the sensor and I had 5.02 both sides thanks mike

Did you push the sensor in until it was touching the reluctor ring?

both it comes up abs fault and traction failure on start up I drive down the road sometimes it bings up with out me braking etc then other times it bings up if I brake hard

Hi, yes i have a similar problem, spurious t/c abs lights. not got to the bottom of the problem yet/

yes it was a cheap sensor from ebay I think il swap it side to side and see if it changes the fault to the other side

Having just had abs tc errors on my p38 5 mins after just passing its mot, lights and tc came on replaced the accumulator no difference, was 2 dud sensors from ebay only new last year..

Found out they were at fault with a multimeter set to ohms and the sensors still in place un pluged each one to look for a solid reading, back ones where .900 each front ones ebay ones were up and down and in 1.2 then down to .03 and such. Ordered 2 news ones tested on meter before fitting both fixed reading at .900 flat fitted them and abs tc been off since

Hope this can help a little
