hi all
Just posting for first time. Had a naturally aspirated station wagon (86) in the mid 90's then drove a work supplied defender till 2001. Got my own defender TD5 (55 plate) a couple days ago and thought it'd be good (probably necessary) to join a forum as I've got a lot of catching up to do. Anyone help me on how to start or find threads please? Got a niggle with a wiper that doesn't park properly though other is parking ok. Good times ahead

Welcome to Landyzoo! Depending age the parking wiper maybe knackered and need replacing. But put a search via the Defender/90/110 forum part and search section on top right will give most defender issues.

Everyone's gonna have to excuse my initial inexperience to start with. The snag is with the drivers side wiper working fine but not quite completing a full sweep on the return stroke and when switched off not parking where it should be. The passenger side seems fine. Been looking at comments regards cable, wheel boxes. It's my main vehicle so trying to avoid dismantling prematurely. I'm not avoiding fixing or dismantling just don't want to waste time barking up wrong trees. Thanks

Welcome to LZ
If it's just one side it's probably the wiper spindle adaptor is worn, see if there is any play

Yeah there is a bit of backlash play on the offending wiper. Thanks I'll start reading up on tinternet.
