Hi Ian
Funnily enough I received my Nanocom today also, the instructions should be a single sheet of paper listing the setup procedure at the bottom of the box.
The link to that page is here
http://www.nanocom-diagnostics.com/uploads/downloads/Quick%20Setup%20Guide%20V1.25.pdf
The first thing you need to do is plug in the USB power lead into a laptop and the unit will power up
Press Nanocom Diagnostic
Wait for the unit to load software
You will see a list of cars and some green arrows at the bottom, press the right hand side green button
You will see a Nanocom button...press it
press setup
press nano com ID
You will see the units unique ID number, make note of it exactly as it shows up
Then go to
Register - NANOCOM Evolution
and register your unit
You will then have to wait for an email confirming your registration and password
There will be a link in the email that will let you login
When you login you will see your unique unit licences (unlock codes)
You will see the unlock codes button below the noncom ID button on the unit
Enter your unlock codes into the relevant section so my P38 codes needed to be entered into unlock7 and unlock8
Once you have entered your codes you are ready to use the nano com in your car.
Remember that you can access the Becm with the engine running, but as far as I know you can access everything else with the engine running.
hope this helps
