I'm afraid that won't work old boy - my definition of socialism
(nationalisation of industries, redist. of wealth, state control of the
economy etc) are all things I actively campaign against as a member of the
Conservative party, so you'll have help me out and tell me exactly where
this right wing, politically active member of a right wing political party
espoused socialism except in an ironic sense followed by and exclamation
mark.

I await your wisdom with baited breath.

I would agree with you. I am curious what *you* think this higher problem
is.

I believe that I already stated that when I mentioned greed of our leaders
(both corporate and governmental) and perhaps I should have added corruption
and a general lack of morals to that as well.

If you look at the intentional hardship and suffering that the people of
those States have had to endure I don't see how you can make such a
simplistic statement.

It's usually cheaper to buy off these dictators (and their military) than to
go to war with them.

Clinton tried it with North Korea by sucking up to China and (allegedly)
allowing them to obtain our missile guidance system technology, but it didn'
t work (Bill was to interested in skirts), so we will probably have to deal
with them (North Korea) in a more forceful manner, as is now happening in
Iraq.

All of this is unfortunate but necessary.

Do you really want us to wait until it becomes inevitable that in order to
disarm these rogue States we have to have a nuclear exchange?

This is the rich yuppie talk I HATE! You are no different than the old lady
driving 2 walmart in her hummer. I live in rural Arkansas and what once was
a pristene mountain view in my back yard has in recent years been turned
into a smoggey blur! This filth has been proven to cause cancer and other
lung disorders and it EVERYWHERE. Do you actually use your truck for
hualing a trailer or do you just sit in it feeling like the yuppie you
are? We live in a age where trucks come equiped with gps,tvs,dvds,mp3s,yet
we still power them with the black goo that comes out of the ground! WHY?
GREED and\or stupid idiots who believe everything they are told by the
government! I WANT MY CLEAN AIR BACK so I defunkt from the republican
party and you should too if you know whats good for your children :(

The "enviros" are not trying to rob you of your "power rights" they are
trying to save the planet,You know the place you live and the place your
kids live. Far more advanced means of making the power you are talking
about is available. But the auto makers are in bed with the oil companies
so they wont invest in new tecnology. The hybrid vehicles are a gimmick,
The only reason they invested in them is because THEY STILL BURN GAS!

I am not drunk I am MAD!!! My mother died at age 52 from pulminary fibrosis
she caught from smog while living in Chicago!!!! Everyone In my family who
lives in rural areas has lived past 80. Now the smog from other states as
well as my own has foged up the air so bad no one wants to come to my
fishing resort!!!!!!!! The ones who do come constanly ask why they cant
see the mountains like they can in the pics on my web site. The pics were
taken 20 years ago before the smog ruined the view!!!! I WOULD LOVE IT IF
ONLY BUTTHEADS FROM THE CITIES HAD TO CHOKE ON THIS CRAP!!!!!! Cities are
filthy and the people who live there dont even notice the smell of it
because they are so use to it, Then they make stupid remarks at people who
try to point out the obvious!
