block pressure tested ?

Yeah will be getting it all checked over, may aswell as i wanna keep the disco for a long time, never had any signs of over heating even in hottest weather in standstill traffic in london running it on LPG, so think all is well. Beed to speak to fett about cams !

Realsteel stroker kit? It looks tempting but so much ££ and alottt of work outta my league i think :( any one done one before?

Real steel have a conversion set to turn a 3.9 into a 5ltr, but says on there site some sump mods needed for the bigger swing, its £900 for the crank plus £400 for pistons and then like £300 for con rods so think its abit much, should jut do chev v8 if i want a massive one

Bringing me back to my original point that if you're gonna do something wild, unless you can get the rover bits cheap, just go American!

Rovers are awesome and easy for entry level and middle road v8 action, but there's no real economy in building a big motor out of one :)

yeah no point buying that stroker kit really, I would try and fit a late model chevy small block. (I am a mopar guy, just they wont fit as easily) if it was that kind of cash and based on a liner slipping 3.9 :p

Now we are getting places, got engine hoist functioning, 6/7 of the gearbox bolts out! only one by starter motor left. Gonna try and get the engine out this weekend or get ready to be pulled out by next weekend! need so advice regarding the engine stand, the bolts from the gear box to the block aren't long enough to go through the stand into the block, whats best way around this? Try and get some longer bolts?
