My torque wrench turned up after having been serviced and recalibrated. If I have time over the weekend I can fit the spacers and torque up the towbar properly :D

And because I use the vehicle at night loads and there are no reflectors on the door, I have fitted some red reflective domes and some 3M reflective strip to all doors.

Looks really good and I like the idea of the reflectors on the inside of the doors, nice safety touch:cool2:

Love the stance of these with spacers on... You need bigger tyres now, they look dwarfed in the arches :p

I put a couple on the rear/boot door as well,
as this and you are a little exposed when in there
with no reflectors to show its open..

Love the colour by the way..

Looking good Mike, as Simon says.....bigger tyres required. :D

Bigger tyres will have to wait until I wear some out. Ie when the winter tyres on the 16" wheels get down to 4mm. Maybe another year unless I feel flush before then!!!!!!

Or maybe the UHP's on the 17" evolution rims. :D

Looks good and great idea on the reflectors. I might look into that as I operate at night a lot too. Nice hat btw, looks like the Butes we sell.. ;)

Doh.

The rear reflectors have slightly rubbed some red paint off the door shuts.

Have to get them touched up sometime.

Removed them so they don't do any more damage. The front ones are okay.

I thought I had a corroded front nearside wheel as the tyre kept losing pressure like it had done previously. Discovered that it had an extra part in the tyre instead. A screw. Had it surgically removed and plugged. Now all is fine and dandy.

This week has been dire on the fuel side. Virtually every day I have driven about 25-30 miles, but with 7-9 stops!!!! Couldn't do the job without the car, but a Nissan leaf would be better for this type of work. :D I did 25 miles today and 9 stops.

Oh well ....... it's only money.

Been running the cabin switch on power and Ronbox on 7. Goes quite well. :D

Very nice! Could've washed it first!

You definitely need bigger tyres now though ;)

I know I should have washed it.

When you work 9 days straight of 16 hours a day, and the weather has been iffy the whole time, things like clean cars go by the wayside :D

I now have 3 days off.......to write up 40 reports!!!!

The bigger tyres will come in due course, I'm looking at probably Michelin Latitude on my 17" rims of 235/65 or so, whatever the nearest size is. Looking for an extra 25mm or so on the radius.

Not sure what I'll do with the winter tyres. Might go for some steel wheels with bigger winters for next winter.

Time will tell!

You could go 235/70, as they're road biased, they're not as chunky as AT's so will still have plenty of clearance around the arches

Do you mind if I borrow that photo to use as an example of the lift generated with standard tyres? Its hard to give people an idea of how much it lifts by when my massive tyres fill the arches!

Just had a read through your thread, thats a nice Freelander you have there.

I bet you cant wait to get some bigger tyres on there now it will make a great difference to the apperances. Mine also has 17's so will be looking at different all terrain options, I look forward to seeing what you go for.

Thanks.

The tyres will have to wait a while.

The taxman is demanding my hard earned money at the moment.......
