The new TI Automotive low pressure fuel pump arrived today. As I had an appointment cancel this morning, I had a little time to fit it. All very easy to do. Took an hour from getting changed, to putting the suit back on.

I took it out for a short drive for work and even when warming up will now rev to the red line. I wouldn't normally do that until fully warmed up.

Happy days.

Now just need to sort out the injectors.

Hi, I've just enjoyed reading through the whole thread. Mine won't be on the road for at least another three weeks so I'm fishing through the forums for inspiration! So far the Ronbox, lift and tyres are the highlights. I've got fairly new general grabber AT's currently so maybe the tyres aren't quite a priority yet. Ironically though, the one question I have isn't directly about accessories, how do you share a link to a product (eBay or otherwise) into a comment/reply? Cheers :)

I had all my fluids changed today:

Gearbox along with some Lucas auto transmission fix.
IRD
Rear diff
Engine.

The IRD & rear diff were like water.... Land Rover what did you put in?
The gearbox was missing a litre of oil and also it was black and smelt burnt.

Drive back much smoother.

Oh, they replaced a knackered track rod end.

And the big one.......

The remap.

Definitely much more low down torque, but an injector went on the way home, or that is what I think it is. Kicking out lots of smoke when using right foot, and a very loud pinking noise when engine under load.

A diagnostic test was done and at least one of them is on the way out, but we thought it would last more than 10 miles :D

I'll have to go back next week and get them to sort before my short trip up north.

My drivers door inner window seal has some wind noise. I have bought a new seal. Just need to work out how to fit it. Looks fairly simple, just remove the speaker grill and probably the door card.

I'll have a look at the weekend if it's dry!

The FL is being collected at the weekend so hopefully it will all be sorted soon. I hate driving a tractor. I bought a Freelander for a reason

Then the remap, which is great, can be used.

Now I need to make a post in the for sale section for the Ronbox combo....

Here my my little monster parked up looking very dirty, and another blue one parked up behind me. You can see the difference the lift gives....

It was overdue a wash....

Here it is looking nice and shiny.

Just for you SES88..... showing off your lift.... :D

It is and it will get some when I'm ready and decided what to get and the size I want. Idealy want a 'quiet' AT M&S tyre.

Looking for some to go on my 17" rims, as I like the look of the evolution rims.

Possibility of the General Grabber AT, Michelin Latitude Tour HP or open to others. Thinking of 235/65 R16.

Can recommend the grabbers!

Woohoo a clean pic showing the lift, pop that in an email ;)

Just got back home from collecting my Freelander.

Injector no. 3 was kn@ckered, which was causing all the diesel knock noise. The seal had blown as well and there was a lot of carbon on the injector.

No. 4 was also changed.

She now runs really well, and the new map feels great.

Roll on the weekend - 2 weeks holiday in Scotland.

Just need to sell the Ronbox & MAF now.

Words can't describe how tempted I am to couple a ronbox to the remap, but know I'd end up blowing the engine/turbo

Pop in for a cuppa if you're passing this way.

Quite surprised with the performance of the remap. I know a manual Mini Cooper D is not fast, but I kept up on a 0-40 traffic light GP :D twice even.

And that was just foot off brake and foot to the floor.

It's not something I normally do, but I had the opportunity so took it to see what it could do.

Now up on Isle of Skye, at a Cafe. The trip up was great, the roads amazing. The fuel consumption wasn't great on the motorway. Averaged 33mpg. Not great. Not sure why. It was very windy, the car was full and had 2 bikes on a towbar mounted bike rack.

Doesn't seem to have much at the top end. Have to look into that when I get home. Maybe the turbo boost solenoid.

The Freelander is going quite well now that it is un-laden. The remap is more low end biased, and in all the time I have had the car I've not done any nice long sweeping A roads like there are on Skye. It seems to take an age to go from 3000rpm to the red line in the higher gears, but as that represents illegal speeds, it is irrelevant.

It can be hustled along at a respectable pace, but drop the speed a little and it seems to be giving reasonable economy. Not as good as I was hoping, but the wind up here is quite strong, so that doesn't help, and neither does the rain.

Low speed stuff gown some of the little roads where 20mph is fast and it is great just trickling along.

Overall very happy with the new map.

Had a good drive over a pass, stoping to play in the snow very briefly-swmbo doesn't like that sort of thing :D

Tried it on a very muddy track the other day. Had to. Didn't know if my 4x4 worked. That's what I told her anyway.

It does :D

Just loving the free flowing almost empty roads up here. Make such a change to those at home.
