That finger injury you suffered whilst repairing that old chaps tyre was horrific, did you ever get the use of your finger back?

*Note to self, bring teddy bear plasters.

Good info on your Moroc thread Ohlins

Yes..horrific for sure, but after a spell of lengthy treatment by the top specialists in France they all agreed that I would've healed better if the Teddy bear plasters were replaced by racing car plasters. All better now I must say. Glad you enjoyed the goofball behaviour of our Team of Goats.

Thanks for sharing your ride reports. I have only flicked through them at the moment but I am looking forward to reading through them later this evening.

You're most welcome.

If any of your group need ideas or advice to help keep the budget down, based on recent pricing etc,by all means just ask.

All the best

Just got my Anderson plug for the compressor saves going into the battery box. Also got a rear wheel arch water tank to fit.

That's a good idea, how easy are they to fit?

I have a light bar and a couple of spots to fit and just ordered some tie down tracking for the inside

Fairly easy - see on youtube how to make up an Anderson plug for landrover. The water tank sits underneath the rear LH wheel arch and is a bit tricky with my fitted interior so getting my ever helpful mechanic to do it.

Yep, my friend Matt will be coming too, he has a couple of MOTS booked in Sat morning, so we're leaving for Birminham at around 10.30.

All loaded up and leave in 5 hours, handy really, as I'm getting sick of the cold weather. Spoke to Ken earlier and he was in a dust storm somewhere unpronounceable.

Got back on Wednesday, excellent trip, TD5 110 never required anything, other than fuel and airfilters.

Got loads of pictures and Landy porn, but have been easing back in to society this week, as I'm still expecting to see begging kids wearing 1980's sportswear at the end of my street, or find some random person in the front garden just standing there looking.

The 110 has started it's clean down process now, 4 hours of washing the chassis and bodywork, and it still has a slight yellowish tinge. Interior next week........

Definitely going again.

Wish I could have gone. When you have done it once you get the bug. I still have sand in it from last year, even driven it through a river a couple of times and used a pressure washer on it.

Excellent pics, but are you sure that's Erg Chebbi? (East of Merzouga) Looks a lot like Erg Chegaga to me (South West of M'hamid)
