Hey all...
I loved my Freelander 1 TD4 HOWEVER...it can drive you insane when a random issue pops up...
Current issue... starts beautifully... however now suddenly it won't rev over 1300 RPM and dies...

Things changed and checked..
Low pressure fuel pump.. 100%
High pressure fuel pump with solenoid checked... 100%
Injectors ... 100%
Heigh pressure fuel rail sensor... 100%
MAF sensor 100%
Cam sensor 100%...
Hell I have even had the ECU checked and all is 100%
Filters all good


All sensors all plugs basically checked...

What the hell could it be this time... ps... no fault codes are being picked up whatsoever..

When she drives I love her... when she breaks down I want to burn her...

What else can it be ..

Hi

Just to understand, the engine start on the button, run well then, it dies after a small trip ?

Hey. Thanks so much for responding.
It starts first time but as soon as you Rev to 1300 rpm it cuts out completely. I can restart it immediately but same thing happens. So not able to drive it.

If it’s not electric or computer generated
Must be fuel or air
Nothing stupid like a bag over the air intake
Or a squeezed fuel line
Could be taking in air ?

Check the fuel pressure low pressure and high pressure and see what happens when you rev it gently.

try this ..
after starting the engine .. disconnect the fuel rail sensor .. then see if it revs.
if it does rev, it will knock and smoke , but that check might indicate a sticking hp.pump regulator.

[ same symptoms happened to mine
[ garage hadn't a clue .. and tried replacing various parts.
[ i had to hook up a hawkeye obd reader, to find the cause.

Do I did everything everyone suggested..
Still the same I added a video perhaps somone has dealt wit this before.
