The police have a special car crime unit. Have you had yer talks with the police passed over to them?
It seems it would easy to set up a sting by police. Are they reluctant to do this or what? Once they show up with the truck to pick up a "vehicle" they could nab the fuc..ers.

To prove theft they would need to find evidence of intention not to give the vehicle back. They would need to track the car split int parts and separated, going to different destinations or the bodywork being scrapped after engine taken out.

To prove deception they would need to prove the above was done with intention from the start, having proved they tricked the owner int first place.

I think all of this can be done but I don't know how far they go on a sting to capture bastids like this. It's daylight robbery.

Unfortunatly.
I have same story as hectormac.
They had my car since August. I was trying to get my money or car back since November.
It is shame they don't care. The whole family is acting fraud.
I had been to there and meet them in person before given my car to them.
They are father, son and daughter in law. They use company as cover and close it after one year.

Sorry to hear this. May I ask what car was it, what work did they initially agree to do and for how much? Have you told the police and trading standards about this?

It is land rover discover 4.
The initially agree was £3200.00. After they had car. They wanted £8000.00.
Police said it is consume matter. It has been reported to trading standards.
Can't belive. They are still on ebay by using another ebay acount.

I expect this thread will attract mere peeps who have been scammed by them, when they find it with a search on the web. Anything anyone can add to it to help others is welcome. Hopefully some may see it before they're scammed and it puts them off.

Thanks for the info. Report it as theft and deception to your insurance. No guarantee they will pay out but worth a try.

Thanks Hipps.
I have made mistake on agree them to sell the car on my behalf as I don't want to pay them £8000.
They will repair the cre and deposit £6000 after sell. but never seen money since.

I have given them v5c and canceled insurance as they suggested.

Can anyone guide me how to take them to criminal court as fraud?
They had fraud history before.
The situation is tricky. None of us on ere are legal eggspurts. My advice would be to talk to citizens advice. Yer may have legal advice with yer car insurance, bank account etc. I think yer have a case for breach of contract as they took your money and didn't do the work. A solicitor would normally give the first 30 minutes talk for free. A solicitor would know the best route to go down. Register the car as stolen. If police won't do it then push for it to be done. Your insurance may act on your behalf.

Oh sh*t. Then talk to the DVLA to see what you can do to get the v5 log book cancelled then re-issued back to you... If this is possible. You need to retain ownership of the vehicle to have a chance of getting it back.

Oh dear don't think that's going to help but as already advised speak to a solicitor make sure he/she understands your not the only one scammed..

Some registrations I have been told are from vehicles on their site:
375DVF 375 DVF black discovery
T 3EN T3EN blue or black range rover
LS11 FMF LS11FMF black discovery

Thank you Hippo.
These regs are not mine.
I want them to stop scam people and take them to crimal court.
why police don't want to invetigate.
There are lots victims on another site.

If you read the whole thread you'll get an understanding of the problem and our thoughts. In short... Yer purchasing a service/product that has gone sour so police see it as a civil matter. On the face of it that is. In the background they planned it all along. Take yer money and car if they can. It's a difficult problem. They need to be caught in the act.
