Hi chaps

Got a issue with my range rover p38 after changing my battery in my key fob I cannot start my range rover due to key code lockout code displayed on dashboard. Key fob flashes when u press the unlock/lock button.
,Every time I open the door the alarm goes off which is freaking annoying. Tried eka code normally works however not working anymore , I've also tried key in door holding down unlock button whilst in unlock position and then lock position holding lock button key still no joy.

Hopefully someone can help me

Key code lockout means you have entered wrong EKA code to many times. Never EVER unlock car with key if it has been locked with Fob. If alarm is active you cannot sync Fob. You will have to wait until keycode lock out goes away then enter correct EKA code to turn alarm off. Only then can you sync Fob.

As above, key code lock out will clear itself in about 20-30 minutes

Cheers wammers I have found a key code or what i think is the key code in my hand book. Its on fob key page a 4 digit code 3231. Hope this is the keycode. Will leave the range rover for a few days and see if the keycode lockout disappears . Cheers wammers

Or he could enter EKA maximum twice, if he gets it wrong then open and close drivers door for two more attempts free of charge. That way he will never get keycode lockout. :);)

No need to leave it for more than about half an hour.
Read your owners manual for entering the keycode. (EKA):)

If it written there in pen then that should be the code enter it slowly and carefully. As Keith says follow the instructions in the book.

Everyone has to start learning somewhere. Good job you're here to keep us on track, eh?

Yeah be thankful. I could **** off and leave you to it. Where at any time was disconnecting the battery mentioned in the posts? Unless some smart arse has PM'd him and given him duff info, it happens a lot on here.
