I've only been and gone and done it.
Let me introduce you to Renee, a 4.4 V8 Vogue. Seen it, driven it, been over every inch of it to the extent that I have been less intimate with at least one of my marriages.
Thank you for your advice, what to look for, where to look for it, how to look for it etc.
A couple of cosmetic bits to do and I might want to get the bonnet resprayed. But I pick her up tomorrow whereupon the fun really starts, (assuming she does)
nice mate, what plate? and how much did you pick it up for?

Nothing to hide
54 plate for £6000 91k miles.
I have found something rather disconcerting though. I missed this when I was checking panel alignment etc. I was washing the car when i noticed that water was running down the inside of the drivers window. Only then did i notice that the top of the window frame was proud of the body work.
I can only assume that at some time in its history some little scrote has tried to break in by prising the top of the door out to get in.
As a consequence I may need to get the door realigned.

No, The photo looks a lot worse than it is the gap is about 5 mm, but it is enough to prevent the strip at the top of the door sealing.

Easy fix open window open door and with knee against inside of door pull top of window frame in towards the car:D
Yeah. That would be the obvious thing to do. Don't know why I didn't try it. Maybe worried I might break it!
That was really the only problem I have found with my Rangey and I have actually driven it! A little bit bit of cosmetic stuff, but otherwise I smiled all the way home with my V8 burble to accompany me.

I had to show my sons mate that trick after he bent his door and they were faffing about trying to line things up again, the door had never fitted so well after i had tweaked it :D
Its been known for a block of wood between door and sill and tweak the whole door:rolleyes:

Thank you. I suppose I am a little bit over cautious at the moment. I don't want to break it before I have had the chance to play with it.
That is probably why I need glasses these days.
I am going to give it a brave go and if it breaks, I will get another from ebay or wherever. It does seem that Land Rovers/ Range Rover spares are very readily available.
I think after buying the Range Rover, the next best thing I did was join this forum.
