Thanks for that.If dealer the lump and running gear is guaranteed for 6 months under EU law.
Thanks for that.
Any ideas about the best way to get a replacement key. I only have one and it is a bit tatty. ( And so it starts, a key today, something else small tomorrow and by next wednesday week I will be looking for a chassis member or a gearbox)

Does he do L322 keys now? I've seen recent posts , where the answer was still stealer. Would be handy if he has started on the L322I wrote to the previous owner on the log book and got lucky once. @MrSporty on here refurbs keys. Other than that, for the P38, main dealer and bend over. I suspect the L322 is the same?
So weather permitting, my first job on Renee the Range Rover ( Blame the current Mrs W for the name) will be to clean and polish the damn thing to near extinction. Then I am going underneath with a large pot of hammerite.
Next she is going to be booked in for a transmission service, and then LPG. I hear my wallet screaming already!
Has anybody tried claiming a replacement key on the AA/ RAC lost key recovery. Sure I have read somewhere that if you "lose" your keys then there is some part of the membership that replaces them FOC..(thinking £170 P38 - £400 L322..!!!).Does he do L322 keys now? That's a pretty one..View attachment 217164
I've only been and gone and done it.
Let me introduce you to Renee, a 4.4 V8 Vogue. Seen it, driven it, been over every inch of it to the extent that I have been less intimate with at least one of my marriages.
Thank you for your advice, what to look for, where to look for it, how to look for it etc.
A couple of cosmetic bits to do and I might want to get the bonnet resprayed. But I pick her up tomorrow whereupon the fun really starts, (assuming she does)
Lovely looking RR best of luck and hopefully nothing more than cosmetics for the first year.View attachment 217164

Hi all, I took my last L322 SC to a 4x4 specialist in North Yorkshire for an air strut and asked for a new key which they supplied and coded for just short of £130. There is also a key specialist in York that claim to be cheapest in UK, I’ve not used them but I’ll get the number off their notice board and post later.Last I heard , key is still stealer only. Around £400 for the pleasure. Not bad for something small

RAC £15 quid a year key replacement when I joined 6 years ago
That's it.. make me feel worse..My lost keys replacement is lart of the cover. I know some will think it silly, but , I would NEVER abuse it. I have two keys, both do everything, except central locking. I wouldn't compromise my integrity for a car key, but I'm sure there are those who would

Wish I'd never mentioned it now.
