ive already got designs on the front cover

im gonna make it look like a ****take haynes manual with a series tratter on the front :D:D

ps: got me wheel sorted today some wiring issues sorted and me tappets are finally right ( for a diesel it sounds like a purring cat ..........with bronchitis :D )
but growls like an angry housewife when yer floor it and not a wisp of any sound like a squirrel having a **** in a biscuit tin :smokin::smokin:
also got me washers working and aimed right after a little experiment

one of me washers is bearmach and the other is britpart and guess wich one wouldnt move to aim it :confused: yep they cant even make a bastid washer jet worth a fook :rolleyes:

and the only smoke i had out of it today was the first 5 mins till it warmed up so i just guess it needs wellying down the lanes before its dreadded hour at the MOT station :dance::dance::dance::dance:

good look for tomorrow mate :5bdriving:

yesterday i had a walk to to doc's on bowland road with my dog and a nice shiny s111 swb petrol drove past me it just looked a though it had just been finished as everything on it that i could see looked like brand new and thought how lucky he was driving it ( he was aproaching the light on holyhedge road near roundthorn ind est ) not far from you really :)

how did you get on with your m.o.t. :)

not had chance to do a bleddy fing with the landy since tuesday as im on a battery of courses with a shrink for me depression related anger issues ( compulsary by order of hm inland revenues dept ) got to do tomorrow then i should be left alone unless they cause me to kick off again and i get sectioned this time :eek::eek:

hopefully ill get onto it this weekend :D:D

reet its been a week and 1 day since i updated and im sorry to say its bad news

in preperation for the MOT i took it to the petrol station and put half a tank in then drove up the lanes for me usual brake clutch gears steering and funny noise tests and literally 2 minutes into this it starts throwing thick blue smoke out like its burning oil

so nursed it home got on the drive and took the rocker cover off again and seen it evry last one of the valve stem oil seals are not where i fitted them theyre up the top of the valve stems just under the spring cap  fookin britpart seals  :violent::violent::violent:

so now im gonna attempt what ive never done before and replace the fekkers with a new set i have in the shed without removing the head for a 4th time
La Roux - In For The Kill (Skream's Let's Get Ravey Remix) - YouTube

wish me luck coz im gonna need it :deadhorse::deadhorse:

to be honest they seemed a little slack when i fitted them like they just popped on fairly easy but usually they need a bit of a squash to fit onto the shroud

ok heres how its gone with the landy up to now

the engine has had new pistons with rings a rebore full oil flush and service new valve springs and stem oil seals new derv filter oil filter full de-coke and still smoking its knackers off

so today i took the distribiuter pump off and took it to a speshulist to have it tested and its absolutely A1 wich cost me £60

now the question i have in mind is its overfuelling badly wich makes me think it needs new injectors now am i right in thinking this ???

so if its new injector time its gonna cost me a fookin bomb wich has wound me up even more

so this afternoon i gave up fookin about in the engine and got over another little problem of where the hell do yer put a set of speakers in a series tratter and came up with this

im pretty pleased with the outcome of that but whadda you guys reccon :rolleyes:

most diesel motors back in the day did not have valve stem oil seals, this is because there is no vacuum in the inlet manifold, the exhaust also weren't fitted, the seals were used on petrol motors and the few diesels that were fitted with a butterfly valve in the manifold ( for the servo, if you have one get rid and fit a proper pump) take the window of the side of your injector pump, there is a timing mark inside, use a mirror to have a look, if the mark will not line up the the valve timing is out, this is normally caused by a worn timing chain.

lets have a vid of the smoke johnny.
i have injectors, but not got time to sort a decent set by trailling them in the 19j i run.

I got recon injectors from united diesels, £110. More expensive than Britpart but I'm happier with that. Been ok so far.
Can the place that tested the pump test the injectors as well? At least you'd know.

Your "Speaker Pod" looks good Johnny, I hate to ask what it was in a previous life!!, but my guess is that the missus can no longer listen to Daniel O'Donnel, while cooking ya chippies, and the back of the settee is missing!:D:D:D:D

And sorry to hear about "Minnies" continued smoking problem, maybe it's time for therapy.....:scratching_chin:
