dunno whats involved in a pump refurb, really doubt it can be done outside a specialist shop. know there are some realy close tolerances involved, and dunno what are wear components.

which pipes you bust?

didnt get to the shop today as took the oppertunity to sort me guttering out durning the last weekend of decent weather....

its the flanged steel pipes that go between the injectors and the pump ( the spaghetti pipes ) its sheered the olive clean off the end of the pipe on pot 1 and pot 3 im gonna have a go at turning some brass olives today as a temporary fix but i cant see one of my bodges working against 180bar pressure :scratching_chin::scratching_chin:

johnny i used to work in a workshop and used to repair injector pumps and anything to do with them, i also had a injector hand pump at my disposal and used to get people coming in wanting ther injectors testing, and we also used to sell nozzles, what i am trying to say is that if you can buy the new nozzles they are quit easy to fit to your injector and at the time was quite cheap (mid nineties)

ps you would be better getting four new pipes made up as they are flanged in a machine like brake pipes

wish id checked on here before i fooked off in the shed and refurbed the blown pipes i have wich involved turning out 8 olives out of rose brass on the lathe and recompressing them on the pipes after a good clean up and they now have a perfect seal

hit meself in the side of the face when the mole grips slipped but hey ho thats landy tinkering for you ( feels like ive been in a pub fight )

I have to ask why a man with your obvious talents even owns a pair of mole grips? They are truly the tool of Satan

it must mean that im the spawn of satan then as ive owned sets of mole grips and various dodgy shaped welding clamps that work in the same way since i was old enough to walk

and its great having something to clamp off the rubber brake hoses and hold small things while trimming whatever up with the needle files

never for turning rounded off nuts :D:D honest :D:D:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Ya gonna name yer landy trigger then?

My ones like triggers brush, new chassis, had 3 gearboxes, 3 engines and god knows what else, I even found out the other day it never originally had windows in the back either

cheers neil thats edzachory what i done i would have had the fukker up and running last night but i was soaked in diesel starving freezing ****ed through with rain and it had gone dark by the time id got it all together and thinking tomorrows a new day thought it better to attack it with a fresh head in the morning

so this morning after doing the usual family thing get the kids up washed dressed fed and sorted i began bleeding the fooker up with the lift / prime pump and ive flattened the hell out of the battery while trying to start the bitch

so now im sat here like a kid on christmas eve waiting for the next 3 hours for the battery to charge up :(:(

booger!

in hindsight. i shoulda come over to yours on sat.....
arrived at the workshop sat morning ready for the days work, the dog did his usual bit of sniffing round outside while i opened up, and i thought i'd chech the power steering fluid on the disco.
put the dog gate on, followed the dog inside and picked up the fluid. somewhere between goin in and out, the dog managed to sneak out and the next thing i know is a bloke shouting at me from the end of the yard saying the dogs just been hit by a car.

spent all sat at the vets, multiple cuts and bruises, and pelvis broken in 3 places.
awaiting an operation on tuesday to plate it now.
