Looking great there JC, every time I look at this thread it makes me want to start a project like that. I haven't got anything like the skills you have though.

Keep it up mate, I look forward to my daily dose of Johnny C's restoration fred.

Johnny, Are you gonna do something about the mismatched paint? I know you had problems with your paint supplier but it seems a shame to do such a thorough rebuild and end up with a "two tone" paint job.

gonna get it on the road and run in then later this summer ill blow the lot in the same shade blue more than likely the lighter shade i think

but before i do that i wanna take it to the paint supplier as is to show them and see if they wanna help sort the problem out :cool:

I remeber you saying it was a new product, the least they should do is give enough to blow it over for free to help them "develop" the product.

Don't forget, you have been told to make a lot of noise so they come and ask you to be quiet then you tell them
"sorry mate, the only time I have is (insert the current time and ad a few hours) because I cannot afford to pay someone to do the work for me, if I could afford it I would be sat in the house with the family nice and quiet"

John

air chisel has been going flat out all afternoon battering the livvid feck out of the front bumper and ive also been using the air ratchet for a few jobs on the front end :D:D:D:

and now the proof of the pudding

a few of them have been in the garden and commented on how good the landy is looking

and theres a few pennies heading my way when they finnish :D:D:D:D:D

Good result then! 3 horns...a good idea with Series brakes.
Looking fab - wiring to do and then not far from completion I guess.
This time next week she'll be MOT'sd the rate you're going at it.

I had the family round for tea tonight and proudly showed them what can be achieved. My missus was most impressed with the results and is now a bit more optimistic that mine might get done to a similar standard. Should stop the heid nipping about it lying in my driveway for a while.

those 3 horns were me trophies off the discos i broke and stripped for a mate thought id put them to use

and i got 3 weeks deadline from now to get the fukker atleast roadworthy and registered

ive been offered a bit of work for an 87 yr old neighbour tonight in 3 weeks hes planning to re-instate an old cast iron frame greenhouse he has so he can become more self sufficient but he aint strong enough to strip the old coal fired boiler out of the place

i went round to have a look this evening at what he wants shifting and stripping out and lowe and behold he said it was gonna go to the scrapman i verry quickly took one look at it and said ill strip it out clean the place out and help him with the heavy lifting for the boiler furnace

aqnd why coz its a family aerloom to me its a number 100 C H Thompson boiler one of the smallest they ever made so ill be taking that home but need the landy now to shift the 1/4 ton lump of oldschool iron back home

the heat is literally on now :D:D:D:cool::cool::cool:

Splash a bit of satin black on it and call it a garden feature, 'til you decide what you really want to do with it.
