Hi all just got my freelander when i turn the fan on the window screens i just get a weird noise i took the scuttle panel off is this right or is it broken

Is the broken bit stuck in the pipes or fan /

It only makes a noise when you select windows

what sort of noise, I had some leaves stuck in mine that sort of rattled, you could just see them in the outlet grills with a torch. I had to break them up and let the air pressure blow the bits out.

have you tried Linux?

it is not broken, you can take that part out and reach inside to get some debris out but it isn't easy to put it back in, took mine off when I fixed the grill assembly (mine is a L/H drive)


if it only makes noise in one position the problem is probably on the inside

Do you have to take the dash out to get the air box out

But it's weird that doesn't make noise when you select over postion of fan
