You're usually more fulsome Stan, everything okay? Our posts sort of crossed but couldn't agree more.
I'm fine, everything fine but extremely busy. Getting stuff sorted out before we return to blighty. You're usually more fulsome Stan, everything okay?
As a kit car fan I hate to say it, but there are, or were kit cars that looked a bit like this. Wheels just don't seem to fit the arches right to name just one thing.Bloody orrible.
Every thing still here and nothing touched…Im sure the house will still be there not sure on the lorry tho..
Looks like it WAS once an Audi TT.

TBH, No.Do you have many problems with the L322 appart from general maintenance mainly the electronics ?? Thay seem a fair price at the moment
Thanks for all the info it basically depends on the previous owners we had are defender from new and it has been pampered I was invited to watch it being assembled that was interesting as it has some non normal items so now I have a dilemma. Sensible - pick up . Hart classic efi . Or L322TBH, No.
We did buy it when it was only 3yrs old and it has had everything it needed done mechanically when it showed as a problem since.
Suspension bushes, Brakes, 1 prop, suspension compressor, Oil cooler, Some AC work(diagnostics saved a fortune here), New rims 1 size down as the potholes were killing tyres.
We have driven it back to the UK a couple of times (bringing trailers back) and down to Corfu this year (minor sensor glitch but not seen since). We have not seen/noticed any leaks or electronics problems.
Obviously we tow trailers with it too.
We did buy the GAP IID straight away well worth the investment.
Never had any EGR or DPF issues as we don't drive many short distances.
Yes they are getting cheap, but I would say it needs the 4.4 TDV8+ 8speed box, which narrows down the year of L322.
We brought the "Mudball" mainly as a winter car, it was cheaper if it went in a ditch than a 50k RR.
Never been stuck, but we don't push our luck, but that don't mean we don't take it out in the snow.
Because they are now reasonably cheap means you may find that POs have been a bit lax on replacing/servicing, so if you are tempted beware you may need a "pot" to get it up to scratch.
Some rust is showing on them now (not ours, no salt used on our roads) so beware of rusty cills and subframes.
We love it, it eats miles and can be comfortably driven for 10-12hrs (if you like driving).
