You're usually more fulsome Stan, everything okay? ;)
I'm fine, everything fine but extremely busy. Getting stuff sorted out before we return to blighty.
Finished the last cutting and weedwhacking today so machines will go into hiding either here or with a mate for the big nickable one.
Hens went off to their new home this morning. We had a lovely lunch with our Dutch friends who are now stuck with getting to Africa for a safari via Holland by plane as their van's autogearbox inconveniently packed up a few days ago. Old VW one. (They have a French plated car but cannot legally drive it in Holland. Mad!)
We know it will be very rainy as of about Monday so racing to get all of outside stuff done before then.
Massive big shop tomoz as we will be picking up all the stuff we bring back with us. Apart from a shipload from a butcher which I phoned through today, things like clothes washing stuff, as it is better and even smells better, butter, etc, etc etc,. Wifey has the list! Plus perfume, for her, of course! ;)

Still it has been very warm today, and there is a massive, full moon.

Anyway, I love the 300tdi, the non ECU one, and am dying to get to the point where I can go back to my Anniversary Disco containing one and getting it back on the road. ;)

Funny Mini!

Close you should get it from this..........

Do you have many problems with the L322 appart from general maintenance mainly the electronics ?? Thay seem a fair price at the moment

TBH, No.
We did buy it when it was only 3yrs old and it has had everything it needed done mechanically when it showed as a problem since.
Suspension bushes, Brakes, 1 prop, suspension compressor, Oil cooler, Some AC work(diagnostics saved a fortune here), New rims 1 size down as the potholes were killing tyres.
We have driven it back to the UK a couple of times (bringing trailers back) and down to Corfu this year (minor sensor glitch but not seen since). We have not seen/noticed any leaks or electronics problems.
Obviously we tow trailers with it too.
We did buy the GAP IID straight away well worth the investment.
Never had any EGR or DPF issues as we don't drive many short distances.

Yes they are getting cheap, but I would say it needs the 4.4 TDV8+ 8speed box, which narrows down the year of L322.

We brought the "Mudball" mainly as a winter car, it was cheaper if it went in a ditch  than a 50k RR.
Never been stuck, but we don't push our luck, but that don't mean we don't take it out in the snow.

Because they are now reasonably cheap means you may find that POs have been a bit lax on replacing/servicing, so if you are tempted beware you may need a "pot" to get it up to scratch.
Some rust is showing on them now (not ours, no salt used on our roads) so beware of rusty cills and subframes.

We love it, it eats miles and can be comfortably driven for 10-12hrs (if you like driving).
