Afternoon folks :).

So fixed the door that is most used in the house and has failed to shut on the latch for ages (shuts when handle lifted to engage the other locks UPVC has) plus it locks on the key but you cant take the key out, Plus the handle was getting sloppy (there are certain people in this house that are not mechanically sympathetic and wrench it like ringing the neck of a chicken instead of gently shutting a door:oops:) .
M says "I will get the guys out" J says "what and spend moneyo_O" .
I take it apart and its a broken spring on the latch, not sure about the lock as seems to work. Right we have a door (same supplier that is not used) so I take out the spare lock, yep you guessed it different size/design, but it has a spring I can use;).
Put it all back together (used the square bar from the spare) and now it works perfectly. put the other door back together and now it has a sloppy action and wont release the key🤔. It don't matter though.
It appears the square bar may have been worn (didnt clean and check).
I seem to have a glut of "browney" points:banana:.

Defender and little trailer MOT tomoz, pickup some sand on the way home (regardless of test results:p).

Then I stacked some more wood as it was a bit overcast but still wam.

Got the same problem with are front wooden door was ok till the cat started hanging on it to open it

...and in a surprising turn of events it appears that my son will be forced to sell his house AND...
No the witch won't have to pay off any of the outstanding debts (not the 15k to me, or the 30k he borrowed to do all the things she wanted doing so she would feel "whole and happy" and stop moaning all the time).
She gets 1/2 the equity but doesn't have to pay half the mortgage since she left him.
Talk about a tilted playing field.
So he will be a 40YO father of 2 with: no home, no job, no likelihood of ever getting another mortgage because he is too old now.
And that little cow who put nothing down, added nothing except debts and the 2 kids and takes off with the loot to ruin another blokes life.

Update: I was so incensed by the "shrug... It's gone" attitude of my lads lawyer towards my money I wrote him a letter to support the claim that the monies owed were lent to then "jointly & severally" and represent 18% of my liquid assets and that this is not a "soft-loan" as far as I am concerned. His brothers & partners have all had similar loans and have paid them back, why does she get to skate on a commitment when she enjoyed the benefit of having all her debts wiped and credit cards debts and wedding paid for when they could not fund the bill they had together created?
For me to just let this go is inequitable to my other children who honoured their commitments.

Anyway I told my son to send my letter to him to his soli and that it be presented with the paperwork that goes before the judge in January.

I really don’t know what to say.
But I will say/hope a court/judge will probably see it differently to the way she views her rights. Specially if someone should slip in fraudulent claims.
Charge on the house but unable to force the sale if children living there. (With nowhere to go).

Bad situation keep an eye on him Dan.

He had a poop judge and a poop lawyer.
He has nothing to lose so should appeal the decision.
Knowing what should have happened via W's friend who had a similar situation with her son, this boils my urine.
STILL don't see how the judge can make school age kids homeless, really don't.

On another tack, why is he jobless, is it cos he has to look after his kids? Yet another reason for the appeal.:mad::mad::mad:

If he's being made homeless with the kids, tell him to apply to the Council, yes he may own part of a home but the Council are still obliged to offer him housing, read their website for details of applying ...

The only way you can get money back is when you transfer it you put it down as a loan, my mate got screwed out of thousands
the same way as you have an the court told him if its not down as a loan on the statement/or in writing you've had it.
Id be draughting up a letter & copying her signature onto it to show she borrowed the funds.

I had a mate who ive known for 20 years, came round tonight to drop off some landy parts for another mate & he had bandages
on both arms I thought he'd had tattoo's but no he's been self harming  I had no idea he's never cracked a light nor did I see
any signs plus he's always been a wheeler dealer happy chatty bloke. :(

Self harming is something that I have never understood, no way no how.
But still feel sorry for those who do it.
When did it start?
Don't remember anyone from my early life ever doing it. no one i know has ever done it, and many have been to Hell and back.

so I googled it.
