I know someone that lives Dorset way he's away 6 months of the year that you could probably squat at ad has a massive wine cellar.Hope that everyone has a lovely weekend
May I pick ur brains plse, even though it’s 2-3 x years away of me moving to Dorset been looking around of what rents are for particular properties and areas
Noticed a few that if u have a pet it’s an extra £25 per month , so indeed working out around £300 , understand paying an extra deposit but that seems high or is that the norm plse , will only be a small, pet like a King Charles or bichon
Looked around the blandford area which looks very nice and only 30 x minutes away from the coast , feel that’s far enough to get away from tourist areas as wouldn’t want to get caught up in the endless traffic each time during the summer months, plus plenty of countryside as that’s my goal to find a place either on a farm or in the middle of knowhere
Once again hope u didn’t mind me asking and everyone has a lovely weekend , many thks

Just kidding only thing I know about Blanford is you will be near a Royal Signals camp if it's still there.
Hope that everyone has a lovely weekend

at the end of the day think I’ve got 2 x choices , when I’m ready and saved enough of giving my place up, move my stuff into storage in Dorset, that will allow me to drive around all different areas and letting agents , or stay where I am and wait for a property to come up , but wouldn’t see it in person until I move , always been terrible with decisions , lol , but this has been a dream for 50 plus years and simply don’t want to grow old where I’m currently at

As WhiskeyLassie has said Blandford Camp is close to the town, but once a year The Great Dorset Steam Fair comes to town and the roads become rock solid tail backs for about 10 days ...
Although it appears that this year the Event will not run ... https://www.gdsf.co.uk/
I think it is I think it's their home baselol, other option I thought was instead of sleeping in my car if maybe I could rent a mobile home off season . But wow some prices are eye watering , wouldnt want to loose a lot of dead money just on a temp place, , think it would be very comfy if I got a half decent air bed for the landy , has tons of room
Other issue is having an address to forward my mail onto, assume camp grounds won’t allow it and won’t be able to if I’m staying in my landy , hopefully over time I can resolve these problems , do have a FBH in the landy already so that’s one bonus
Funny enough I wondered that if the army camp was still there , sorry I’m waffling , lol, just so nice being able to chat
You'd be in tears if you knew ours! (£12/month which would be £24 if we were there all year round)£86/Month combined Water & Sewage.
Fink its because yer pick me wurds from stans reply. There be no dots in the origional post.I would just like to say
Iffit it were your parcel delivered today and yer naybor took it in, would you be happy if they left it unnatended on yer door step after 2 days or threated to bin it? Tis a bit harsh. You open up a legal can of wurms if yer bin it. Or get yer window smashed. Depends on how yer naybor reacts...www.landyzone.co.uk
I am taking back my lick, as you have edited your post to dots

Edit its funny it shows in the link but can only see your quote .
This is why we used to have water butts in the garding in the UK, no need for them now, but we collect the water off the three roofs of our house into a massive underground tank to water stuff over here, which I will be connecting the pump up to today so W can water in the plants she's putting in the greenhouse.Ok till you want to water the garden
While on this business...You would need stitches with that
Seriously wonder why not as you live on your own except for the dogs, and if you have a septic tank they can't charge you for sewage which is way more expensive than the watter.I ain't got one.
