Nice solid machine there Brian.
Think about buying a cheap used caravan and giving him that to live in. He could use it on a site and pay their fees. That's my suggestion.Morning All.
Still here, (sometimes wish I wasn't) LOL.
Awoken early AGAIN, can't be helped but oh for our former quiet life.
Got to take her for a mammogram this morning poor thing, probably the last one ever though.
Have a good day.
Well, you'll just have to build a bigger shed. I'm sure you could roof in a bit more of your garden under the permitted development rules.Nice solid machine there Brian.
Like all the grown-up lathes I would struggle to get it into my tiny little space. The 5' Length I could just about manage but the 2'6" depth is a killer.
Or put it in the living room, no one will knowWell, you'll just have to build a bigger shed. I'm sure you could roof in a bit more of your garden under the permitted development rules.

I was using an MXS5 for occaisional topping up on me tratter battery. It used to do the job on a 95Ah battery, but when I changed to a 100Ah battery 18 months ago it could not cope - was going into monitoring mode before it was fully charged. It is supposed to charge on up to 110Ah, but it doesn't. I now use a MXS10. Does the job just fine when I need it. The MXS5 is now used on mobike batteries and ordinary cars.... that my Ctek MXS 7 has turned its toes up and no longer functions.
No volts out except in the "Supply" setting.
I have e-mailed their support to see what they say about sending it back for repair. You never know, they might be really nice and replace it.
Interesting. I have always fancied a Disco jap import thing. Can't remember the funny name they gave em. But they do have the rep of always being in good condition, partly cos they don't salt their roads and partly cos the Jap MOT is excruciating and if it fails they are awful with you. I have tried to research this and all I have come up with is the test and the fact that lots of people "do not get involved with mechanics" so garage costs are high.
