...that I was asked to lift that patio window back in.
Apparently the new doors are not now coming on Monday and in fact they don't know when they are coming.
So my lad bought a new set of runners which arrived last night and he asked me to help him fit them this morning.
He had a pair of new roller/runners but he insisted on only replacing the obviously broken one on the one end/side.
After the the 3rd in/out of this ruddy sliding frame because it wouldn't slide left-right I called a halt and said:
"I've had enough Son. Just because the other one turns under finger pressure without the weight of this 300lb door on it doesn't mean it turns fine when loaded, change the effing thing."
Reluctantly he replaced the other roller assembly. Job jobbed. Door slides just fine.
Came home and took the regulation painkillers for my back.
OH, and he tells me that he and 'er are splitting up after 11 years and 2 kids because she's a spendthrift and prefers her 2 dogs to him and he's had enough. His kids will be devastated, but there you go.
