Yep, I've had them a couple of times and they can
a/ be fiddled by the garage that sells you the car, this happened to me, I ended up paying partially for something ( a new fool tank) only to discover later that the garage got all the money for it :mad:and
b/ not cover lots of stuff, only the stuff that is unlikely to go wrong. :mad:
AND you have to pay for them. :mad::mad:
I'd never have one again!:rolleyes:

I've worked on several Merkin cars and trucks that submitted to starter surgery quite easily. It's a 15 minute job on an older Chevy truck.
Well I was saying this tongue in cheek, older rear wheel drive vehicles are really quick to do this on, often, but on the TD5 Disco,for instance, the top nut is known as the nut from hell, for very good reason and that isn't even front wheel drive!!
