Looks nice!
Phil, do you have a CB in your truck?
Nope…. We normally only use them in wood yards to tell the loaders to stop.

cannot find anywhere to put my small rig & 200watt burners  plus the aerials won’t last long with tree damage.so never fitted it.

think the landy 1 has multi channels inc upper/lower on normal Fm
Unsure if it also has sideband

I think the Solar is what is making the difference.
I looked at it but the people we consulted informed us that our house's orientation was unsuitable as we have no roof-areas facing in a suitable direction for collection. :(

Don’t always have to point south;).
Ours don’t and really pretty much point west, but we have only had a bill for January this year with the batteries:).

So don’t poo poo the idea:).

I just bought a Midland mini as a base station. It will suffice until I get my ham license :D
I've still got one in the 90 but I can't drive and it's broken anyway!

You have to be so clean when you get you ham…
I know the landy has a 35w burner in it but won’t do no more as it’s only a little areal

when I had the home set up… that was 60foot up scaffold poles & would only be on late at night as it buzzed the neighbours TVs they complained so had to hide the aerial in a tree

Not much flying today. Normally hear things overhead when in kings Lynn.
Used to listen in on fairford (when we lived few miles away) to see when stealth & B52s flying in .
Waddington has been busy since the Red Arrows moved there. Conningsby is always busy during the day with the Typhoons.
I love it, being stuck here it really helps to keep me amused :D

I understand that more modern PV cells do not have to have direct sunlight in order to produce decent amounts of power.
My best roof (if there is one) faces S/W (I think) but I am not sure. 22 year payback on PV and I am possibly too old to see it break-even here in the UK.

Luckily I didn't have to pay for mine
I live in a council owned bungalow and panels were on roof when I moved in, trouble is that the council turn them on and off so as they get paid for power certain times of day
I get power 8 hours in summer and six hours in winter so have to make the most of the power I get
Gas and electricity last year was just short of 600 quid for 12 months to April
Already on 556 quid this year and only six months in

Weather has brightened today and the sun is now shining.
Staying in awaiting delivery of the new MAP/IAT sensor.:):):)
Wifey wakes up in the morning now with a swollen hand. Same one as she had both the flu jab and the Covid jab, (Moderna) in.
So I had to get her pills out of the packet thingies for her. ;)
Swelling is partially up her arm, does eventually go down. hoping it is just a relatively short term reaction.

Sensor just arrived. in a proper Bosch packet. Let the fun commence!!:):):)
Have a good day folks!!:):):)

Just found out that theres a drop in covid jab centre here on sat think I'll go n get mine.
Ive heard loads of people taking reactions to them :(
The last one I had a tennis ball lump in my arm pit :(
