Phooking fuming quite frankly 
I have no time for jobsworth *****. I appreciate those who do trades can reliable guestimate but to argue with a tape measure and refute its finding boils my discharge. Additional parameters that were never articulated in the contract sucks.

Seems kitchen roll has doubled in price and all sorts of other things keep going up in pounds rather than in pence?
She is now proposing to fill the cars up with not only meat and butter but also.....
Kitchen rolls, dog food, bog rolls, chicken maybe?
(And of course wine)
Apparently Dottir#2 and husband are investing in a solar electric system that will be coming all the way from Bornmuff, they live near Kiddyminster. They are buying it with money that they had saved up to build a garage. I can sympathise with how the son-in-law feels about this.

We can't but our fuel is fixed for quite a while and not too bad compared to some others although over 100% more than before.
At our ages any capital project to reduce cost has to be set against the amortization period which obvs for us is low. So getting a log burner fitted for instance isn't really viable and anyway who is to say that the prices of logs won't go sky high too?

I get what you say about amortisation and that (amongst other things) puts me off solar roof panels. And I'm kicking myself for taking my fire place out last year and taking the chimney down. But I kept the bricks just in case, and the fire grates (still in me garage). So I could reinstate it if necessary. But I reckon I'll just invest in extra thermal underwear and a jumper or two. And cut down on baths from monthly to annually

Din't get CH until I was 31, and that was in the second house I bought. The first one still only had a gas fire! Dumb or what? (Gas to me was a luxury, so I thought, "That'll be nice" Idiot!)

I moved out at 20, I'm 32 now and the winter of 2009 was my last one ever in that house so I know it was recent ish but still shouldn't have been that cold in these times. Do not miss going to bed fully clothed or keeping a coat on to stay warm in a house

Nah, the late fee isn’t the issue. I should have had an EV charger fitted by now. The EV arrives in a fortnight, it takes eons
to get a team out. The whole thing has just pizzed me off. No one surveys, just questions…is within 15m of the consumer unit, blah blah blah. The tech rings you 24hrs prior to discuss the photos you’ve sent. Then arrives and says we only quoted to drill one wall, the cables above 6’ off the ground, it’s 19 meters (by eye) not 15 and, and, and rings manager, oh it’s now a two man job, £50 and hour, could be an additional £250 all in.
