There is a reason my sons hospital call motor scooters, ankle slicers ...

But if you're waiting for a transplant the hot summer has meant a longer wait, the surgeons have been known to look out of the window and because it's raining say, "not long now" ... greasy roads are a bugger for motorcycles ...

Greasy roads are terrible, but you do get how to handle a bike and its all about speed.

I know a local lad who came off his bike last year on the Lochgilphead road came off over 100
hes a mess not much left of his shoulder & forearm when sliding down the tarmac, he broke his
neck & back, the docs said his back pack saved him no more riding for him.

Why was he doing 100mph? jut not on at all.

Before i even engage first its I am wearing: boots, leather trousers and a jacket and so many dont bother with gloves no idea why but the only bare skin you will see of mine exposed is my face and thats usually behind a visor.

He was probably slowing down at a ton o_O The lads I know are all mental speed freaks with big bikes
ive never been out with all my leathers or gloves but I did go to work on my quad mile down the rd
without a helmet one day as I had no house key.

Alot of people don't know their limits, i must admit ive ripped about on a field on a quad but i didn't have public in the field so I was a bit safer. i saw a scooter rider texting going through a town, eye opening.

Thats mental, driving a quad on the road.... they tramline a lot so you need to be on the ball
great fun but dangerous, I used to go up the rest from the Arrochar/ Glen Mallon Rd feck me
the tourists with LHDs on my side of the road put a stop to that & the quad.

Another landy run today to the northern end of me island. Sun came out as well, which was nice :)

No fundy 'ere but plenty of rain overnight. The dogs late evening trot in the garden was fraught with traps as the nations supply of frogs and snails were slithering about in celebration of some rain!
A very weak sun is trying hard to break through now but I doubt it will win the battle.

Mornin all.
hope you is all OK.
Yessdi was interesting.
Went to the Wine tasting, which was brill as usual though very hot, Stuck to the reds only., met some old friends and some interesting new peeps. Have a good list of places to visit and taste their whole range.
Came home, W had a bit of a snooze then I had a siesta.
Then the fun started.
We had laboriously drawn up a list of all the stuff we have to do before we come back.
Could I find it? could i feck. I KNEW where it had been, so W and i searched the place from top to bottom. Alot of stuff had been moved before the dinner party so we thought maybe it had got mixed up with that. Even went through the recycling bin.
Looked under furniture as it had been windy and there was an open french door behind where I had been sitting with it on the table.
Even looked outside. FFS:mad::mad:
Smornin after looking in the last couple of places we could think of and relooking in others, we decided to do another one, obvs worrying we might forget about summat we'd already put on the old one.
Then as W was sitting down for brekfus she caught sight of the corner of a piece of paper under the sideboard. (It's one with very short legs and big cupboards.) I'd LOOKED under it the night before thinking the wind could have blown it there, but obvs in the dark, and white paper on white tiles? anyway, sho nuff there it was.
Bloody thing, about 1 metre across from where I knew I had seen it last.
Lessons learned, don't write anything down, use the pooter.
Look under furniture with a torch.
Humph.
Anyway, got it back.
Must give up on this losing things lark!
Have a good day folks!!!
:):):)

Today has started well. Leccy is here to fit the EV charger :D I measured and it was in standard fit range. Now I’m being told I’m over by 4 meters and there are two walls to drill and I have no isolator to the grid. He is speaking with managers but suspect this isn’t going to be a pleasant experience.
