2 things can happen.. either the car rises as air is introduced to the bags (the bags increase in size) and the pressure stays the same, the weight of the car does not change.
or
the car sinks as the weight of the car increases but the amount of air does not change. as a result of the compression of the bags, the pressure inside the bags rises

The Highest mode for the P38 is "wade"
This isn't correct according to the Owners Manual....

It clearly says off road...

with the Suspension on "standard" the ground clearance was similar to my stock 91RRC
Would need to measure, but I suspect the Standard ride height is maybe slightly less than that of an RRC.

However the difference is, the p38 has an extra 8" of wheelbase and I think a larger rear overhang. Meaning in this mode you'll be more of a disadvantage compared to the 100" wheelbase RRC (or D1/D2).

Why would the pressure stay the same? My pressure gauge certainly wouldn't have agreed when I was inflating the air springs separately with an external compressor.

Same thing with tyres, if the tyre is flat and you pump air into it. It will inflate, lifting the vehicle and the pressure will increase.

A tyre is not the same as an air spring, the tyre doesn't have any moving parts to it.

It also clearly states "wade" ;)

Anyway I find it funny that the car limits the maximum speed in wade/offroad height............................ ;)

??

It reduces the height, not the speed. Stops ot rolling over. 35mph is pretty fast on a loose or bumpy surface.or indeed a river.

Since when have there been moving parts in an airspring? Like a tyre it's a bag full of air under pressure, increase the pressure and the car will rise, this applies to a flat tyre and an air spring. Normal height is about 60psi on my Arnotts, wade height will be more. There is another height above wadee height that comes in automatically when the car is grounded according to RAVE.

Yes it takes around 65psi to lift the P38.. IIRC

The car does not as far as I'm aware limit the speed to 35mph in wade height, it's just that if you go faster than that the car will lower to normal height. However I do believe if you activate the lock button it will stay up but I have not tried it.

Bad choice of words Keith, I probably should of said it lowers instead of limits, above a certain speed "35". :)

Perhaps I worded it incorrectly, the top moves away from the bottom when inflated and can adjust depending on the hight sensor.
