Not sure where from yet. Somewhere at the front! Seems to be above the sump gasket level unless it is blowing upwards. I'm fearful it might be the crank seal.:eek: Need to get the fan and other stuff out and have a look.

If it going upwards it probably been filled with the new antigravity oil that stop your oil leaking on to you driveway

Have you done the front seal on yours?

You need the front cover off?

No just the crank pulley centre. The one held on by the big bolt you need to be muscular to tighten up. Or undo. You need a special tool to hold it whilst it is being undone or tightened. Can be done without an angle gauge if you use the flats after initial torquing.

Given my prowess in shearing bolts off I canprobably do it up but not sure my wrenches can take it. Is a 1/2" breaker bar going to handle it or are we talking 3/4" or even 1" to get the strength?

Good 24" 1/2" bar will do it. As with any bolt undoing it is a lot harder than tightening it.

Cheers. Ideally I'd have a look over the weekend but got some other issues to sort at the moment.

Right, start the clock again.

Audi heater mod done a few weeks ago, and I've just redone the front cover gasket and associated bits with new seals and O-Rings throughout.

No sign of any oil leak over the last 50 miles, and the coolant has been bulletproof since the Audi core went in, so I'm declaring the operation a success and stating publicly I've been coolant and oil leak free for a least 24 hours.....

About 4 weeks since I siliconed up the sump with the engine off! Making it very difficult to tighten the flexplate bolts and several other bolts. But no oil leaks!

Thought I was approachingoing 2 month then founder a orange coloured liquid on drivers footrest . Time for getting stuck upside down head first in footwear me thinks whilst her indoops stands there peeing her sides

Have you got LPG fitted? That sometimes seems to pull on the pipes before they go through the bulkhead.
