Yes but no steam or water loss
And I pulled it up quickly and let it cool down.
could just be a dodgy radiator might want a flush micks is the same tends to get very hot on motorway but in town its fine hopefully you engine will be fine
Time for a proper gauge and sender, I thought mine ran hot but it was ok, then it went off the scale..... It needed a rad, recore rad and new gauge and it doesn't move off 90 ever
Yes thanks, will take it to the jetwash tomorrow and get rid of the mud and see what its like
don't jet-wash your radiator on full power just use a hose for that
Links please, what is a proper gauge?

edit-
anyway, she aint confirmed any delaminations yet. It might well be the turbo.
or the air filter full of strata.
Sounds like a good idea, where does the sensor go
Is that not standard stuff?
I'm only pulling yer leg. I'm aware of how much you've put into Dave.....
that sounds a bit wrong
sniggers
I know ya are
just waiting for the fallout following the weekends escapades
so far we have-
a 90 running hot,
a disco with possible terminal body mounts (or so he thinks),
a dave chucking black smoke out.
and collateral works, due to a disco with terminal body mounts, a 2a that may require an mot and possibly a 200 conversion with an unknown engine that "came with it", a calibra that needs an mot, and the endurance of john in the workshop to assist
