i hada couple of land cruisers, was bloody smug about that

i have towed a normal 18 tonner lorry before, but never a fully laden artic. and never up a non gritted icey and snowy 1 mile long hill :c

Quality Carpy thats some very good pictures, I went out earned about 50quid lol didnt ask for money people where almost fighting over being towed up the A602 lol

And hello Kev , Ryder , Brett , Kriss Booger and all you Loonies hope your all having fun out there .

Well I usually miss out on the fun stuff but this year I managed to get the MOT in time with a few nice comments from the MOT bod.

I had to work today. I did half book it off asked anyhow but another guy got his form in before me so I couldn't take it which ****ed me off a bit last week but I had lots of Fun anyways. Trying to get to work in a Vaux Omega took me 15 minutes to get 5 foot from outside my house needless to say I gave up and got in the landy.

I towed a van off a round about not far from ClassicKev's house and an arctic full of plastic pellets up an incline at work. When the warehouse manager says yea mate its ok come down here don't believe him! Another driver of a 16 tonner waiting to get into Plastic Containers past our workshop was well impressed to say the least. Not bad for almost illegal 205's. It was pretty cool. I had my doubts but it just about managed it. A couple of work mates were on hand to take the **** as they thought it wouldn't happen. the tyres now have some, er lets say fine scuff marks on them now tho from melting the ice and gripping the block paving I think I burnt my way through TBH to good ground in the end.

On the plus side I got my nice new shiney rope dirty. I do need to go pickup my 900 tyre to get those back on for more grip I spent all day going sideways around our estate, much fun but not all that comforting when you have to drive home on them.

Who is up for Whaddon? I want to go but one of my CV's is er not in the best of health but I wanna take a mate around from work for a quick jolly after seeing it do its thing today I think he is half interested in seeing it in action Propper.

Propshafts are on the shagged side of health. Need some Uj's ASAP so was thinking of shooting up to paddocks in the morning but I might just wait and order them cos Its too cold to be getting under the motor at the mo to get the props off at the mo.

I hear GibboPhil rescued a gritter from near Harlington this am. Seems we are doing our bit. I was shocked to see a fats response ambulance driver photographing her car (I can only think it was so she could justify not going to work) when I asked her if she wanted to get it off her drie she shook her head and said no thanks. Kinda wanted to have a go at her but I held my tounge and smiled.

Well there we were taking a trundle on the snow covered road out the back of Dunstable. ended up getting about ten motors up the hill 1 at a time of course... who should pull up behind us but Kev.... He got in on the action too!

Weelll what else y ou gonna do on a friday night?

whats it like your way at the moment then? most places here are better, but the back roads are very bad, snow compacted to form sheets of ice, bloody great fun drifting round corners mind, but others arent having as much fun :D

more snow forecast tonight by the looks of things

I drove the old beat up omega back to work and swapped it for the van that was an interesting drive over the downs I can tell you.

I'm back in the action now, but its all but gone here, sheet ice in places on the roads though, going to be interesting if we do get more snow this evening and tonight.

yup exactly, meant to be a band of snow hitting us at like 10 / 12 ish tonight, which will make matters very interesting indeed!

Its the same here Carpy as you describe the back streets are mad!

tis bloody good fun if you know how to drive, the problem is the older people, new drivers and over cautious people that feel emselves slipping, slam on the brakes and just go sliding

well i have just found out a friend of mine in germany has a 70's 'mog sitting in a barn that he hasnt used in ages and wants to sell

depends - i want a toy, not a number of toys. i dont have enough cash or room for more than one. so i will find out how much he wants for it and if its doable i will get that. it has mog portal axles on it already, so if i can get it running all i need to do is chuck the bogger tyres on it and jobs a goodun

A14 and A11 Are ok i think, they have kept those roads clear its if your heading off any of the main routes its going to get bad. We are expecting Heavy snow around midnight.

got couple of days yet but the weather is not looking good for the week ahead.
