Found a few smaller roads at the back of Dunstable that have been closed... and look pretty shakey too!

Might be tempted to give one of them a go tomorrow is anyone else is up for it... One is closed with bollards so pretty hard to misss... but the other just has a little sign half way along that will be obscured by snow by tomorrow morning!

"Didn't see it ocifer...honest!"

Tempted to go out for a look round now hehehe.

I know what you mean about "road closed" found a couple meself. Couldn't see what the fuss was about, didn't even need low range.

went out in the snow a minute a go to take a mate home. was snowing pretty hard was having to go at about 25mph. roads will be rather slippy later on i think. didnt even see a gritter out and was in the car for about and hour!

I'm sure they'll be out in a bit but they will only do the main roads and bus routes so plenty of scope to find places to play. According to the met office website there may be more snow in the very early hours, about 3ish. Tomorrow could be a good day.

Oh I do hope so.. kev I will call tomorrow afternoon! The little road after the crossroads where we were last noght lookedlike soooo much fun!

Oh yes and BTW Mr DB... not avoiding yur calls... just keep missing them and are out most of the evening! Will call yoiu as soon as am home at a reasonable time!

Well the landy don't like the cold, takes ages to get to start and only runs on 4 cylinders till it warms up. What bloody numpty designed a 5 cylinder engine with only 4 glow plugs?!

So was there abu snow? I didn't see any difference when I got back earlier. MK is decieving some sheet ice that is very er interesting in the works van.

i just recovered a jag x type 4wd from one of those closed roads. it was bad. TV recovery sent a 4x4 recovery vehicle, which couldnt manage it. i went up just coz, to give it a go as you do, and found the 2 of them floundering slightly

they are definitely closed for a reason - normal cars and road tyre 4x4s will get into difficulty - we should be fine on the other hand:D

I think I kept the windscreen people in buisness a few years back when I had a puncture and only had a studded tyre onboard they pinged out and hit the the rear tub like a machine gun after 60MPH
