Not sure if we are still doing it but me and Ryder were talking about doing it this weekend at some point will have to get back to you on that though

I am tied up until 4ish on Sunday. (playing the blues!) I want to water proof the disco before fording it in any case. Will be about for an early evening foray into the wilderness though.

Probably attach a permanent tow rope for Ryder;):D
Then some sort of power points for the inside, so that I can run a Sat-nav or laptop.

Thanks,:D I read that as Shogun to begin with, I thought you'd lost your senses and traded your RR for Ryder's Shogun.;):D

Blimey you guys are harsh! My Shogun did alright in everything except deep muddy ruts... whch just happens to be where we spent most of our time the last few months!

Spyderman, myself, discobasher and a host of others drove Furneaux Pelham a few weeks ago. You're right it is a great drive and well worth the visit. Spyderman and I drove it in feb/march time when it was much higher water... i had to get towed through on the return journey by Jai Landrover being as both my motors are petrols and disapprove of getting really wet!

In the same area (herts), and equally worth a visit is Standon Ford. This one was too deep for me to drive last time we visited but Spyderman went through and it was quite high... got the video somewhere will try to find it and post.

Standon varies in depth, I understand, according to which route you take. Staying close to the trees avoids the need for an aqualung!

Spyderman, on the other hand, seems to be fitted with webbed feet and gills as standard!

Thanks for the replies...doesn't seem like anyone is keen for a drive.

Anycase...I will be going for one in the morning...around the ford i mentioned if anyone fancy's

Well after the great effort and few late nights by myself ryder and glenn we moved the concreate block as you all know :)

Bad news is the ba**ard farmer has picked it up with his tractor and put it back blocking the lane but further up this time.

It's been a long day. I thought I would just fix the mud flap mount and get on with other things. Ended up cutting out a rotten section of floor and welding in some metal, fabricating a new bracket and while I was at it started the snorkel.

I hate tin worm!! Anyway, snorkel and extended breathers should be finished tomorrow so will need to find some water to test.

Sorry Gooseman! usually someoneout and about... seems this is a preparation weekend for some of our illustrious crew. We would welcome you on any of our outings though. usualkly several weekly!

I agree with others. We made our point and now we have to contact the council to get some action over this vandalism that is being visited upon a perfectly undamagd and legitimate lane.

Well what can say, i said that's what would happen, Three weeks to move it, ten minutes to put it back.

Hi Ryder..I am based in Welwyn Garden City.

Let me know when you guys plan a ride sometime..I am always keen..

Ok...I am off to explore some lanes...

On the subject of the block, I am sorry to say that I told you so and all that effort was wasted. Maybe we should have taken shovels up there and turned it into a mound. I think tho that the farmer will continue to block the lane untill the coucil put an order on it. Seen it so many times down south.
